Sikh leadership were decision maker whether whole panjab goes to Pakistan or gets divided and half remains with Indian Hindu state. Master Tara Singh get fooled by Brahmin Pandit Nehru and make Panjab a slave state to Indian Hindus.

Major conversion to Sikhism happened during the first 40-50 years of the 20th century, especially because a lot of Hindus made the first child a Sikh. A look at census over decades would see a steady increase in the percentage Sikh population in the first 40-50 years of 20th century in Punjab.

You didn't mention that before capturing punjab, east india company had made an alliance with rajput kings and mostly maratha kingdoms. It made it easy for the company to capture punjab after the weak descendants of Maharaj Ranjit singh
Very informative & deeply in fact in many asserts of guest & host both...I learned hard that one should not be much emotionl about separating society & Nation as a whole however it hurts a lot example if my father wouldn't come back from Pakistan-jhung during partition, what would be my family condition if not converted or simply wiping out as infidels or kafir..freedom means freedom from poverty poverty and poverty...ty! Mr. Thind, I have known you as a civilised host and you are, but today, your opinions about India and Punjab are biased or there is lack of depth in your knowledge. Yes, the barometer to measure 📏 freedom could be what you said, check the life of poorest of poor but that has to be seen in the context of country’s many other factors. India, will take a lot of time of get their as we have an incredibly diverse society with each having its own view and issues on a same topic. Secondly we are 1.4 billion which is more than Europe plus North America plus Russia and many other countries. Thirdtly, we are a young country (only 77 years old). We have come a long way, we will continue to march forward. While it’s good to focus on one aspect, it’s important to look at the other aspects too and recognise development. Host is extremely bias and negative person. Sikhs contribution is there for independence, but it is not the only one. Hindus sacrificed a lot, but they don’t remind to all you everyday. Sikhs are part of Indian society, and they will remain there forever. When they fought for independence, then they did it as a duty to their motherland., like everyone else. No need to speak from the rooftop about their contribution.

Thind Saab you are telling lies. Punjab is much better now as compared to 1947. Punjab is much better than other states of India. See the condition of farmers and poor people of other states, they are much poorer than Punjabis. Koi Punjabi bheekh ni maang reha Punjab vich, they are bhaiyas of UP & Bihar.

This can be seen in his other shows as well, in which his punch line is “Here is the report from Delhi Darbar”, as if we are still living in the Mughal era. Thind proven to be a poor host in this episode, lost objectivity in his interaction. Biased and loaded questions reflect poor standards of reporting and journalism. Looks like the host is pursuing a predecided agenda to malign India and Pubjab, but the professor prevailed and rebutted him with factual replies. So, overall, poor quality show. 🙏🏻
