Patriotism and religion are like oil and water. Treat them separately and they are blissful, but they become toxic if swallowed one after another.
The two main characters of the story represent two different religions dating back to pre-partitioned India. One is sikh and another is muslim. What unites them is their sense of motherland i.e. love for the land from where they both come and what makes them different is their religion.
While coming back from Foreign land, both of them comfort each other, provide assistance but as they enter India and the venomous environment affects them as well.
How would they react? What will they do? These are the questions that need to be pondered while listening to the story.....
