I live in California. Single parent (widow) with kid in public school here. I came here with my life wrecked and with 9 months baby. 6 years later, I m very content here. I ll atleast save 40% of my income (inspite of living well- weekly eat out, twice a month long trip to temple, park etc) . 30% of income goes to mortgage/rent. 500 dollars towards grocery, I paid off my car and rest of figures same as you. I invest in stocks for my daughter’s education, 401k for my retirement. Have EMI running in India for my second house. First apartment i closed the Loan within 5 years. The rent earnings from the house goes to my parents. I m middle class woman also, living alone with kid is not easy in india, I live safely here. US is more then just dollars to me.
Dude and Arthi, I came here 25+ years back. Believe me, you both are going through a phase. I see you want to talk about a topic and ended up with this. It just reflects your current status quo but not where you both will end up. Your life will get better as time goes. Invest in Arthi's education so she can stand on her own as an independent women in her life and also help your family by contributing. You guys are young charming couple. Things will get only better here in America and believe me this is the place for women. Also make sure you save some money in 401k/IRA. Everything adds for your future.
Congrats both of you :) I liked the way, you guys do video.. very casual.. It's so connected :) Edho unga kita nerla pesura madhiri irundhuchi.. enjoyed watching.. I told the same thing to some of my friends who are interested to come to US.. but you have narrated very well :) Keep doing more videos!
Bro , I am living in india only , doing online job and business , earning 2 lakhs + saving is 1.85 lakhs no rent , no big expense , thanks god i want to stay in my country itself ..... , every year 20 L i am saving , india is my america
You Guys have exactly expressed my situation. I am staying in Colorado . My family size is 4. I am the only earning person. I forwarded this video to 10 of my friends and relatives today
I live in Europe (Spain).. Salary is less here but expenses are very less..for a family of 3,with 50k eur a year, we can save 15 lacks INR per year.. No need for medical insurance, no need of car, can travel to other countries
In a nutshell, both husband and wife must work irrespective of the country. We are all trapped in a cyclic economy of spending most of the earnings rather than saving. A big win for those capitalists who have taken this model to countries like India too (where savings was important and spending was only on necessary things). No money or target is enough these days. Running behind non essential things too (just because of peer pressure)...
Hi Aarthi and prem, this is joy from Calgary Canada I started to watch your video recently. All the information that you guys giving very useful for many people
I came to California and my kids studied in private school until last year and now I run my own business. Naan tax save panna solli tharen and eppadi money manage pannuradhuku solli theruven. Entire US ley yearuku venum nallum. I have great respect for everyone of us who come here. Bro atleast Neenga 90k katureenga.. Business 1099 earn pannina nariya save pannalaam.
What about investing in stocks of great US companies? After all, US is a highly capitalistic country rich people get richer..salaried folks if they save and invest, they can easily get richer too.. For example. Amazon stock was $300 5-years ago..now $2,700 a share... Apple was less than $100 5-years ago, now at all time high of $370...Visa & Mastercard are other great companies whose stocks have been consistently raising??
Ji.. just subscribed your expense video 2 days before & watched this video now. Appadiye USA life-ah movie Matthiri kannu munaddi ootikamicheenteenga. Nice narration. Only one point missed : how to take care parents & in-laws as single child if we are here in USa .. which is biggest issue going in mind Daily.. as to give priority to old people or our kids good life here🤔🤔🤔
In UK the salary is not as high as in US but the tax slabs are lower below certain amount and living cost is much cheaper specially if you live outside London. Healthcare and education are free here and comparing your list with similar lifestyle, here the savings will be much higher if not double. If both husband and wife are employed than can have a good lifestyle and will be able to save money for the future. If you want to return to India should do it before the child starts schooling otherwise it will be very difficult and wont happen. Once the residence is established one should leave their employee mindset and look for opportunities to start their own business by widening the contacts. Only by doing business can have a real successful life and also will be in a position to help others. I know not everyone can do it but should atleast take a chance and give it a try. Talking from my own experience.
Bro thanks for the detailed comment Some of my friends also told that london is better than usa at some extend.. Yes as you said we should get rid of the employee mindset and explore the things to start the business... thanks again for your comment🙏🙏
“பிரேம்: குழந்தைங்க இல்லாத காலத்துல வெளில அதிகமா போவோம்.... , ஓ விடு நம்ம போகல தான்“ ஆரத்தியோட காலுல விழுந்துட்டான் பிரேம் தருனம் 😂😁👌🏽 . All did the same 🤣.... cute though 👌🏽
As you mentioned there will be a reluctance but if we can break and go back that's the best. I see many of my friends and family are having a luxurious life in India whereas we are running day and night and saving to go and settle one day but don't know when that one day would come. 8yrs in SG and not sure when we would break it and go. Even you become a citizen there but still can't be like the native citizens and home country is the best :-)
Ha ha.. Reminding me Sathyaraj & Vadivel comedy.. America vanthathuku nee than enaku maasam $50 tharanum.. Anyway all these expenses will vary by person and location.. I am able to save $1000 to 1500 per month in my $4200 take monthly income(after tax and med insurance). I am living with wife and one year old kid in Dallas.. Rent - $1000, Indian Grocery and other Grocery - $500, Utilities and gas& mobile - $500, Entertainment - $100, Kid expenses- $100, unplanned expenses $200 to $500, Car insurance - $150
Thanks for the info. But the info you have given may not be applicable for all.For families who live in economical states and don’t overspend can easily save over $1500-$2000 per month
Hi bro ... Honestly saying ur leading peaceful life in America.. Even iam a IT person here lot of pressure and struggles...Here corruption no honesty no trust too much of politics so better u be there and live happily forever it's my advice..If u come to India diffenetely u vll feel one day... Iam telling u the true fact...
Hi Prem & Arthi.. just a suggestion for a new video.. most Indian families will like to have a affordable luxury car in US. Is it advisable to get a luxury car or its worth investing the same money on standard brand cars ? Plz think thru and make a video if possible. Thanks.
Sure bro👍👍 Definitely its depends on the persons I bought the car recently which is honda crv 2020 model and I didnt go luxury model I have covered some portions in the below video, please chk and let me know your thoughts ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pSQvWxWp0q0.html
Bro, let me tell you the Bangalore expenses for 30 year old IT employee whose avg salary is 1,00,000 per month. Current Bill - 1000 Water Bill - 1000 Internet - 1200 Mobile - 400 TV - 300 Hospital - 1000 Restaurant Food - 1000 Bike Fuel - 2600 Home town travel in car - 5000 Fruits & Veg - 3000 Groceries - 10,000 Misc expenses - 5000 Car Insurance - 1500 Bike Insurance - 200 Education for 1 kid - 10,000 House loan - 35000 Total Expenses - 78,200 For Parents - 5000 Total Savings - 16,800 If we are in rented house then we can save additional 15,000.
But still if we going to home trip, that time we can purchase lot of grocery items from India like soap items, dals, etc. Please mention that too. So that monthly grocery purchase amount will be reduced. Also for some people who are all living in the main city, car is not required regularly. So they can take for rent occasionally. Even that too reduced the amount from monthly budget. It is also helpful for new comers.
The solution is to adopt, when decided to live in other country must learn to adopt to eat local food and buy local produce which are usually cheaper than imported groceries from India. For example most westerner living in India adopts to eat local food as imported western items are very expensive in India.
India we stay late but not as productive as US despite we wrap up early here. In India social life is good like partying and going out regularly, here personal life is good. But working in developed countries will certainly make more professional . It's a great experience overall.
hi saho iam new to ur channel and iam a student u both ppl down to earth i dont know why ppl don't considering arab countries we cant get citizenship there but 95 percent savings of salary
My brother earns 9000 dollar his wife earns 7500 dollar. With two kids aged. 6 yrs and 3 yrs. ...they say able to save 6000 dollars. ..as on today July 2020.
Yes bro say they are earning 16500 dollars per month but they can able to save only 6000 .. yes there will be taxes... But just imagine the persons whose household income is only 9k dollars 🙁🙁🙁
You are very correct Inge velai kidaikkum aanal masam 6 lakhs sambadhikka mudiyadhu. Further american life inge kidaikkadhu Trap illai But destiny take that way.
I don’t hv statistics, but believe most house holds have two income category. Depending on their area salaries exceed 100k per person. This is based on my observation.
No bro.. if you are taking visa holders Indian community majority are single income family I have taken the example as 90,000 but it will vary as per the area and the position
@@thiyagarajan3969 It takes long time sir. Indian companies don't process I 140 soon. My husband has shifted to an American company. They have started the green card process immediately. Even then I have to wait min 2 yrs to work.
