I tried this ... it did puff up and turn out well. Only thing it tasted different from chapathi. Still interesting twist and change to the standard chapathi. thanks for posting this
I tried this today. Got the same result, but taste is not like chappathi. It takes lot of time to get cooked. While pouring the batter, flame should be low. If you eat after few minutes, it becomes rubbery. This is not a substitute for chappathi.

@@kavyaviju3025 I tried with wheat flour alone da For one cup wheat flour add one cup of water one teaspoon sugar and half teaspoon salt and grind this mixture in mixie . As I can't mix the flour without lumps I tried to grind in mixie.Then cook as usual in dosa tawa. If we cook for 1 minute it look like dosa But if we cooked till 4 to 5 minutes then it turns as chappathi and it is more soft than our ordinary chappathi

Seriously this is so time consuming. I am good at making chapathi. I tried this method, It took so much time yesterday night , that I felt sorry for making my husband to wait for the dinner.
