It is SPB who roped in ILAYARAJA because of Ilayaraja's MULTI-TALENTS! SPB even said "If Ilayaraja was there, it was enough for me. Just "my" voice and his harmonium were needed for a successful concert"! Chummaa indha grandmother stories ellaam vendaame! After that, Ilayaraja REPAID SPB abundantly enough for SPB to tell his cousin "This career was GIFTED by Ilayaraja though I was introduced by MSV and KVM" - actual words: "Indha vaazhkkai enakku Ilayaraja pOtta pi-ch-ch-ai"!

As a humanitarian SPB was very genuine and a gem of person. Where as Ilayaraja is not a humanitarian and in that way he is zero

SPB did NOT CALL ILAYARAJA to talk to him! 100% SPB's MISTAKE! SPB was NOT ignorant, and was NOT doing free/charity concerts. It is SPB who should have NOT blown up the issue on his page just to bail himself and his son out, and make IR the villain. SPB was at the wrong side legally / morally, after defaulting the fairly-due royalty to IR. NOBODY supported SPB in that issue, but 2 Malayalam composers supported IR saying it is IR's right. If SPB could pay the royalty to Arr, Deva, Vidyasagar etc. for using their songs, what made him take the "friendship" for granted? He also posted this cheesily on his Facebook page knowing very well that his fanatics would abuse IR (which is exactly what happened). He was minting crores in that World Tour concert (2016-18) where he sang 75% IR songs! He was the one who declared "I won't sing IR sings again"! After that, his concerts did not do well, whereas IR had housefull concerts even WITHOUT SPB! But, it is IR's MAGNANIMITY that he pardoned SPB and accepted him when he came back in 2019. IR also gave SPB one more song to sing, and they did 4 concerts together during which SPB presented IR with a Ramana Maharishi photo saying "BE AS YOU ARE"!. ILAYARAJA NEVER COMPLAINED / WHINED about any of his naysayers including SPB. Again, IR forgot all about it and accommodated S. P. Charan in his recent concerts! FUNNIER is that SPB fought for 'Royalty for Singers' in 2015 (2 Years before the issue)! Yet, he had the audacity to feign "ignorance" about it in 2017 in front of the public! Oh, the "karisanam" / concern / love the likes of CL and Dhananjayan have for SPB, Rajinikanth etc. that gets to ZERO for Ilayaraja!

IPRS's Achille Forler said ILAYARAJA SHOULD have earned BILLIONS, and would be one of the WORLD's richest musicians alongside Hollywood peers/singers. He was TOO LENIENT in the beginning. IPRS was giving him raw deals, including music troupes, producers and audio labels. So, IR announced in 2015 that he was no longer associated with IPRS. There started all the trouble. Today, in the social media era / movies, his songs/BGMs are being USED to mint money for themselves! ALL of his music should rightly belong to HIM, because every song is HIS brainchild and intellectual property. He is also dealing with his naysayers LEGALLY (the right approach) instead of blowing it all up on social media unlike others who think they can do it because they are famous / in dire need of attention.

Copy rights always with the producers only. How musician and lyricist have the rights when they already got their fees from movie producer. It is not fair.
