Super interview. Deep insight. I am not brahmin, but I love carnatic music and all classical art forms. I recite sanskrit slokas regularly. There is no requirement for you to be brahmin or non brahmin to enjoy a music or an art form. Even my guru is an Orthodox iyengar but I never felt any partiality in their family towards me. I bow to Mr Dushyanth for his honest, open and transparent comments.

Excellent dialogue. Yes, classical music should be popularised by organising such classes & local performing groups, not by tearing down the existing institutions.. For example: the great efforts taken to promote classical music on Vandalur by late Kalaimamani Sivakamasundari, who organised the still continuing classical performing group in Vadalur...

We as a family hear a lot of Dushyanth Sridhar's discourses. He is someone with profound knowledge on a lot of subjects not only spiritual. He quotes our great saints and acharyas Sri Sankara, Bagawath Sri Ramanjuacharya, Sri Madhvacharya, and Sri Vedanta Desika, their works extensively. In this speech as well he very well explained that he does not see a difference in any Jeevathma. A knowledgeable person who would practice like he speaks unfortunately does not mention often about a great Vaishnava acharya who is also equally important. He has mentioned about His works, but not to the extent of having the same yardstick as others. I feel greatly disappointed when he ignores our great acharya Sri ManavAla Maamunigal. I would humbly request through this that does so in future. Adiyen 🙏

T M Krishna stripped naked and made to run. DS was perfectly right vis a vis his comments on Krishna. Let TMK.come out in open and say how many of his sishyaas are Brahmins and Non Brahmins. Let him give the names of his Non Brahmins Sishyaas, who have made mark in stage concerts. What was his contribution to bring them up to the level of top performing musicians. Any aspiring musician of any caste or clan should have some working knowledge of Tamil, Sanskrit, Telugu, Kannada and.Hindi/ Marathi. How many of his sishyaas have become top ranking musicians. To my mind comes only Rithvik Raja and he is an Iyengar Brahmin. Let him name a couple of persons( non Brahmins) whom he taught have made a mark in stage concerts. If TMK is so concerned, he should take up teaching assignment in music college run by Government of Tamilnadu ( sorry periyaar naadu)

Dushyant sridhar is a rare person with awesome capability to put across his views with so much authenticity and conviction. His memory to bring out relevant phrases from various works of great saints , musicians, Vedas, Upanishads, Divya prabhandam, Tamil scriptures etc is unbelievable. Hats off to him and we pray that he continues his noble work for many many more years to awaken and lead the people of India to the path of Dharma.

It is a tight slap on the face of not only TMK and few other musicians like Nityasree. TMK is making karnaataka sangeetham ( காதிற்க்கு இனிமையாக, அலங்காரமாக இருக்கும் சங்கீதத்தை) கர்ண கொடூரம் ஆக்கிய புண்யவான். He( TMK) ridicules well established and accepted pattern evolved by legends. After all he is a minion in music. He(TMK) talks too much because he had the backing of a powerful background.

When one has reached the level tmk has reached only by divine intervention. From his position, he has to see oneness in every one, only then his contribution would grow. He lacks that divine etiquette. If he ever has grouse against a personal individual let him take it up at the personal level and not paint a whole lot. The speaker portrayed his views correctly.
