I have done my MBBS in India and i am currently practising in the UK. I have plans to come to Canada in the future as I was born and brought up in France and Canada seems to have a good mixture of English and English. This is such a big news and I wish you all the very best. Clearly you are lucky to have such a supportive wife, she has done all those tough exams in Canada but she is ready to start from scratch, studying for MD entrance exams in India is totally different (if you have those plans sorry). She is clever, she'll get through anything. To work in India as a doctor after having seen the healthcare system in developed countries is actually very difficult because you constantly have to discuss with patients the financial aspect of care which often implies different quality of care for rich versus poor people. All I want to say is please keep your options open because you never know... Good luck to both of you, I hope your career in cinema goes well and the online pet shop business seems to be a brilliant idea too.

My initial reaction was concern but after giving it some thought I’m convinced that you’ve given it sufficient thought. While following your passion can be glamorous, the grass may not be as green as it looks. But then you can’t not follow your dreams. This would be the best time for you to venture out or it could become a lifetime regret and your IT job can become frustrating over time. That said, here’s some unwarranted advice. Please hope for the best and plan to fail fast. Draw a line and stick to it. Take a calculated risk. Make a deliberate decision on how much of your savings you are willing to invest in your new venture. Know to walk away when you hit that threshold. I’m sure your IT job will be waiting for you. In the interim please find time to stay in touch with your network group and perhaps take a few small part time jobs in network security so there’s not much of a gap on your resume. You have come a long way. Most would be envious of you. Don’t throw all that away. Again, calculated risks are fine. Drawn a line and don’t budge beyond that no matter how tempting. Finally, once you’ve decided don’tturn back. Give yourself the gift of a break without second thoughts Fully focus on your new venture and thoroughly enjoy it. You are too good at what you do.
