Article 14 of the Constitution of India provides equality amongst gender. But this law is quite contrary to this Article 14. Nowadays in several courts it is observed that false accusations are levelled against the husbands for extracting economic benefits and threatening them to be as slaves to their comforts. Even they don't have the heart to spare super senior citizens resulting in sizable divorce cases affecting the children's psychology. So both the husband and wife should sit together removing the ego between them and to settle down the issues amicably. Husbands should treat their wives with dignity and honour since they are looking after the welfare of the entire family. If so this law would remain as a paper tiger. At the same time women in India should not forget about the existing of the social stigma if they get divorce on account of this Law. True understanding between husband and wife will avoid the usage of this law. 🙏
