I have some questions on the same 1. Have we identified all kinds of components present in the sun with our modern science and technology? 2. if so, you have told only about the presence of hydrogen atoms and the formation of helium due to fusion reaction - what about the rest of the other components which have not yet been identified? 3. @@shankar4330 you can't. Sound is acoustic wave which travels through compression and elongation through particles. So you need pressure too for this to happen. Particles aren't required to propagate, pressure is required. Light and other waves are electro magnetic and satellites can pick up electromagnetic waves. They don't need a medium to propagate.

It is the angle . Let us assume sun is stationary and stable. But earth rotates itself right, so a place on Earth has different angles at different times of the day to the sun. For example we are tangential to the sun in morning and evening, but normal to the sun in afternoon. So the amount of light falling on a unit surface area changes. So the heat produced due to light also changes. At night we are opposite to the sun so no light falls on Earth's surface.
