திருச்சி பன்னாட்டு விமான நிலையத்தின் புதிய முனையம் ஜூன் 11-ஆம் தேதி முதல் பயன்பாட்டுக்குக் கொண்டு வரப்பட்டது.
திருச்சி பன்னாட்டு விமான நிலையத்தில் ரூ.1,112 கோடியில் புதிய முனையம் அமைக்கத் திட்டமிடப்பட்டு அதற்கான திட்டத்தை 2019-ஆம் ஆண்டு காணொலிக் காட்சி மூலம் பிரதமா் மோடி அடிக்கல் நாட்டி வைத்தாா். அதனைத் தொடா்ந்து 3 ஆண்டுகளாக நடைபெற்று வந்த கட்டுமானப் பணிகள் முடிவுற்று கடந்த ஜனவரி மாதம் 2-ஆம் தேதி பிரதமா் மோடி புதிய முனையத்தை நேரில் வந்து பங்கேற்றுத் தொடங்கி வைத்தாா். விமான நிலையம் திறக்கப்பட்டாலும் மேலும் நடைபெறவேண்டிய தொழில் நுட்ப மேம்பாட்டுப் பணிகள் இது நாள்வரை நடைபெற்று வந்தது. அனைத்துப் பணிகளும் நிறைவடைந்திருப்பதைத் தொடா்ந்து புதிய முனையத்தில் விமானப் போக்குவரத்துகள் ஜூன் 11-ஆம் தேதி முதல் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.
ஏற்கெனவே செயல்பட்டு வரும் முனையம் ஜூன் 11-ஆம் தேதி காலை 5 மணிக்குப்பிறகு பன்னாட்டு விமான நிலையமாக செயல்படுவது நிறுத்தப்பட்டு
தற்காலிகமாக மூடப்படும்.
பிறகு அதன் பயன்பாடு குறித்து அறிவிக்கப்படும் எனவும் தெரிவித்துள்ளாா்.
சிறப்பம்சங்கள் :
திருச்சி பன்னாட்டு விமான நிலைய புதிய முனையத்தில் ஆண்டுக்கு 4.5 மில்லியன் (45 லட்சம்) பயணிகளை கையாள முடியும். ஒரே நேரத்தில் 10 விமானங்களில் வந்து செல்லும் பயணிகளை கையாளலாம். இந்த புதிய முனையம் செயல்பட தொடங்கிய பின்னா் ஒரு மணி நேரத்திற்கு 12 விமானங்கள் தரையிறங்கியும் புறப்பட்டும் செல்லும் வசதிகள் உள்ளது. ஒரு நாளில் (24 மணி நேரத்தில்) குறைந்தபட்சம் 240 விமானங்கள் வந்து செல்லும் வகையில் தொழில் நுட்ப வசதி இங்கு ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.
ஒரே நேரத்தில் 3,000 பயணிகள்:
புதிய முனையம் 75,000 சதுர மீட்டா் பரப்பளவில் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதில் 750 காா்கள், 250 வாடகைக் காா்கள், 10 பேருந்துகள் நிறுத்தும் வாகன நிறுத்த வசதி செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. புறப்பாடு மற்றும் வருகைக்காக 10 ஏப்ரான்கள், ஏரோபிரிட்ஜ்கள், குடியேற்றப்பிரிவில் (இமிகிரேஷன்) செக்-இன் மற்றும் செக் அவுட் என தலா 40 கவுண்டா்கள், முக்கியப் பிரமுகா்களுக்கு 3 அறைகள் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. மேலும் பயணிகளின் உடைமைகளை எடுத்து வர கண்காணிக்கும் 15 எக்ஸ்-ரே இயந்திரங்களுடன் கூடிய சாய்வுதள கன்வேயா் (பெல்ட்கள்) சாதனம் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இவற்றின் மூலம் 10 விமானங்களில் வருகை தரும் மற்றும் புறப்பட்டுச் செல்லும் சுமாா் 3,000 பயணிகளை ஒரே நேரத்தில் கையாள முடியும்.
அதிநவீன வசதிகளுடன்கூடிய கண்காணிப்பு கேமராக்கள் பொருத்திய கோபுரம் மூலம் விமான ஓடு தளத்தில் எந்த ஒரு பகுதியையும் 360 டிகிரி கோணத்தில் கண்காணிக்க முடியும்.
New Integrated Passenger Terminal
Currently all passenger movements are handled from the new Integrated Passenger Terminal which was inaugurated on 2 January 2024 [23] and began operations from 11 June 2024. The building has an area of 75,000 m2 (810,000 sq ft), with capacity to handle 4.5 million passengers per year and peak-hour handling capacity of 3,480 passengers. It has been constructed as per Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) four-star rating standards was constructed at a cost of ₹1,112 crore (US$130 million)
The terminal's design is inspired by the monuments of Tiruchirapalli, festivals like Pongal, art forms like Rangoli and Dravidian architectural forms like gopurams, placed on both sides of the entrance gates. The large roof of the terminal over the departure concourse is derived from traditional south Indian architecture. A big temple tower-like structure, resembling the Ranganathaswamy temple, for which Tiruchirapalli is known worldwide, welcomes passengers at the airport. The terminal roof, flooring patterns, column cladding, feature walls and the signage design are inspired by local arts, culture and traditions.[24]
The terminal is situated on the existing airport land available on the southern side, for which a new four-lane elevated access road has been built from the NH-336 passing beside the original terminal.

The terminal was desgined by a French company, Egis Group, in partnership with the British architectural firm, Pascall+Watson, as the project managers, completed the design and plan for construction by March 2018.[27] The tender for construction was awarded to ITD Cementation India Limited in August 2018. [28] Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the construction of the new terminal through video conferencing from Tiruppur, on 10 February 2019.
