Good Afternoon Dr. Mom is 75 yrs old. She is having difficulty in speaking and swallowing. Not significant tremors but. Recently done an MRI brain scan. There were two findings, brain atrophy and shrinakge. She is under medication. Is this also due to PD and is it curable?? Thank you.

Dr. My mother aged 93 was diagnosed to have P.D. since 83 yrs. she was given Tab. syndopa only. her symptom was different. externally she didn't have tremors in hands or legs. what she complained was that all objects she saw were mildly in jerky movements. she expired in June 2018 due to old age only. no HT, DM. bed ridden for last 3 years. before that she was just sitting in sleeping. she could not stand without support. what is the type of PD she had internally. at the time of death she had hyponitremia and tab natrise or resodium was given. ayurvedic powder equivalent to dopamine was also given as a food supplement. so we found no aggravation of PD but under strict control. your brief explanation is useful. please suggest veg food supplements to take as a precaution. thanks.
