Total of 4 yugas are 43.20 lakhs. Rama lived during treta yuga. After treata yuga came dwapara yuga. During this yuga Krishna took avatar.present yuga is kali which has sofar completed 5100plus years. Reserch is essential may be useful for students. So far no scholar has questioned the birth of Rama or Krishna. Even in the Ayodhya case, court was interested about the land where Rama took birth and not questioned the DoB of Rama. Sri Narasimhan cud have ignored the issue.

As raised rightly by Shri Velukkudi Krishnan Swamiji,the age of the Athma/ soul can be attempted through scientific means.

What a Brilliant explaination . We don’t have to give any evidence / proof for anyone . If youngsters don’t believe and ask questions, they will accept and soon, when they grow up into adults, they will understand. We don’t have to presume, that they will quit Sanatana Dharma because we don’t give a specific date for Rāmā’s birth or anything for that matter. Moreover if foreigners ask for proof/ evidence from history, for these books to be in their libraries , we should not be begging them to have it . Let them come to India and read our ancient scriptures, for which they may have to learn Sanskrit and then study our Sanaatani books and let them beg to have our books in their libraries. We should not go behind them, and neither should we manipulate our history to convince them.

Very beautiful explanation and narration of so many miracles that bring joy to faithful hearts 🙏🏻 and tears in the eyes ❤ thinking of our beloved Narayana. 🙏🏻 Sri Dushyant Sridhar is also right in his perspective that children these days need some kind of scientific proof for our Itihasas which will atleast satisfy their initial curiosity and encourage them to listen further. Once they start appreciating the immense beauty and goodness of Ramayanam their faith will automatically increase and they will also become Bhaktas. As their bhakti increases their questions will drop! While we cannot / need not prove each and every happening in Ramayana, there may be benefit in substantiating few of the events based on research. Else the kids who don't have inherent faith may end up losing interest in religion, become agnostic or even switch religions if their questions are discouraged or ignored.. they are not willing to accept anything based on simple faith! Like you say, previous generation of kids listened to elders but current generation may need to be handled based on their scientific mindset as well!
