Let say you want to buy a car that cost 5 lakh today . The same category of car will cost 6 to 7 lakh in next 3 or 4 years. Whatever I'm earning as a interst through investment will be spent on the car only . But I lost three or 5 years. So now which one is wise to choose ? Buy with loan or Save for years then buy ?
Fair question; Have to do the math of the rate at which car prices increase vs the rate of return on your investments. By and large, the later is always higher than the former. Ocasionally in a particular time frame, it may reverse.
@@nagappanvalliappan3132 Yes I do agree. However the time that you are going to take for investing or saving money for car is more important. If you plan for 3 years or 5 years and investing in equity it is really a shorter period. I don't think the return is going to be high from this duration, the yield might go low high or less. All the possibilities are there . Yes you might be profitable if the return is high but it's not going to be insane profit. Its not about the profit always. Delayed gratification is fine but how long it should be delayed that matters a lot. I feel finding our balance between spending and saving is more important. It varies with individuals and with their their needs . I don't think we can have certain type of thumb rule here for all people.
I would say wait until you can’t live without a car and then buy a car on good deal, I.e pre owned car which looks new and very less km driven at a deep discount, that’s my choice.
