2. Turn off the sewing machine: Ensure the machine is turned off and unplugged for safety.
3. Remove the needle: Take out the needle and set it aside.
4. Clean the headstock: Use a soft cloth to gently wipe away any dust and lint from the headstock area.
5. Apply sewing machine oil: Using the small brush, apply a few drops of sewing machine oil to the moving parts inside the headstock, such as the gears and shafts.
6. Lubricate carefully: Be careful not to over-oil, as excess oil can attract more dust and lint.
7. Wipe off excess oil: Use a clean cloth to wipe away any excess oil from the headstock and surrounding areas.
