Delimitation Commissions is a statutory body.it has been set up four times - 1952, 1963, 1973 and 2002 under the Acts of 1952, 1962, 1972 and 2002.

@@vinaychary6118 There are 2 aspects of delimitation commission we have to focus here. 1.Formation of delimitation commission 2.Orders or decisions of delimitation commission. In the first case i. e, formation, we can challenge it in court. That's what happened in J& K delimitation commission. Second case, we can not challenge orders of delimitation commission.

2011 census will be a great backdrop for south states. As sir mentioned northern states will get more representations which will make southern interests less priority in all developmental activities. Politically and economically it will be a huge setback. Which In turn encourages states to improve population.

Following the 84th amendment to the Constitution, in 2002, Delimitation is to be done after 2026 if not postponed. The base year will be 2021 population. However the population control policy will be kept in center of this.[2] according to 2021 census
