విద్యా ప్రకాశానందగిరి స్వామి (ఏప్రిల్ 13, 1914 - ఏప్రిల్ 10, 1998) ఒక ఆధ్యాత్మికవేత్త. శ్రీకాళహస్తి లోని శ్రీ శుకబ్రహ్మాశ్రమం స్థాపకుడు, బహుభాషా కోవిదుడు, గీతామకరంద ప్రకాశకులు, భగవద్గీతా ప్రచారకులు, వేదాంతభేరి వ్యవస్థాపకులు. మలయాళ స్వామి శిష్యుల్లో ముఖ్యమైనవారు. ఆయన జన్మనామం ఆనందమోహనుడు. బందరులో జన్మించిన అతను అక్కడే బి. ఎ. దాకా అక్కడే చదువుకున్నారు. హిందీలో నైపుణ్యం కోసం కాశీకి వెళ్ళి వచ్చారు. తర్వాత తండ్రి కోరిక మేరకు మలయాళ స్వామి చెంతకు చేరి అక్కడే ఆధ్యాత్మిక చైతన్యాన్ని పొందారు. 1950 లో శ్రీకాళహస్తిలో శ్రీ శుకబ్రహ్మాశ్రమం ఏర్పాటు చేసి ప్రజలలో ఆధ్యాత్మికతను పెంపొందించేందుకు వివిధ కార్యక్రమాలు నిర్వహించారు. దేశంలో పలు ప్రాంతాల్లో గీతాజ్ఞాన యజ్ఞాలు నిర్వహించారు. ఉపన్యాసాలు ఇచ్చాడు. పలు పుస్తకాలు రచించారు. భగవద్గీతపై అతను రచించిన విపులమైన వ్యాఖ్యాన గ్రంథం గీతామకరందం చాలా ప్రాచుర్యం పొందిన గ్రంథం. వ్యాసాశ్రమంలో ఉన్నపుడు యథార్థ భారతి, శుకబ్రహ్మాశ్రమం తరపున వేదాంతభేరి పత్రికలను ప్రచురించడం ప్రారంభించారు. పలు పత్రికల్లో అతను రాసిన పరమార్థ కథలు ప్రచురితమయ్యాయి. ఈ కథలు పామరులు కూడా అర్థం చేసుకోగలిగిన సులభ శైలిలో ఆధ్యాత్మిక జ్ఞానాన్ని ప్రచారం చేశాయి. శ్రీకాళహస్తిలో ఆయన మొట్టమొదటి డిగ్రీ కళాశాలను స్థాపించడానికి తన వంతు విరాళం అందించారు. ఈ కళాశాలను ఆయన పేరు మీదుగా శ్రీ విద్యాప్రకాశానంద డిగ్రీ కళాశాల అని వ్యవహరిస్తున్నారు.
Swami Vidya Prakashananda Giri (13 April 1914 - 10 April 1998), born Ananda Mohan, was an Indian spiritual Guru from Andhra Pradesh. He was a disciple of Malayala Swamy. He was the founder of Sri Sukabrahmashram in Srikalahasti. His commentary on Bhagavad Gita named Geetha Makarandam is one of the major works in spiritual literature. Swami Vidya Prakashananda was born Tunuguntla Ananda Mohan in a Telugu Vaishya family in Machilipatnam, Krishna district, Madras Presidency of British India on April 14, 1914. His parents were Tunuguntla Ramaswamy, Suseela. Ramaswamy was a lawyer before turning into a devoted social servant. Ananda Mohan completed his matriculation in Vijayawada at the age of 13 years. He completed his B.A from Noble college in 1933. Later he studied Hindi in Varanasi for a few years and earned a certification. Once Swami Asangananda Giri (Malayala Swamy) of Sri Vyasashram at Yerepdu, visited their home in Vijayawada. He felt happy about the way the pious couple leading their life and asked Ramaswamy to send one of his children to his ashram so that he could impart spiritual knowledge to him. Without any further thoughts, Ramaswamy chose his third child, Ananda Mohan, who showed an inclination towards spirituality since childhood. After completing his Hindi Kovida certification in Varanasi, he was in a dilemma about whether to go for higher studies or go back to his guru's ashram and start ascetic life. One day, when he was crossing the Ganga river, he found Bhagavad Gita written on the old palm leaves. This incident inspired him to propagate the teachings of the Gita in his lifelong.
On 17 May 1936, he entered Vyasashram, Yerpedu established by his Guru, Malayala Swamy. He practiced several austerities like eating only raw food, practicing silence for a year, etc., and continued for 12 years. As a routine every day, he used to explain the Bhagavad Gita and other spiritual works to the people of the Ashram. He also translated some books like Yoga Vasistha into Telugu. #sudhamrutham
