ಅಡಿಕೆ ಮೌಲ್ಯವರ್ಧನೆಯ ವಿವಿಧ ಕಡೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯವರ್ಧನೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿಲ್ಲವಾದರೂ, ಔಷಧಿ ತಯಾರಿಕೆಯ ವಿವಿಧ ಕಡೆ ಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಕೆಲವು ಸಮಯಗಳಿಂದ ಅಡಿಕೆ ಹಣ್ಣಿನ ಸಿಪ್ಪೆಯ ರಸದಿಂದ ಸೋಪು ತಯಾರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಪುತ್ತೂರಿನ ಕೆದಿಲದ ಬಳಿ ಇರುವ ಸತ್ವಂ ಹಾರ್ದಿಕ್‌ ಹರ್ಬಲ್ಸ್‌ ಈಗ ಪೇಟೆಂಟ್‌ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಕೃಷಿಕರಾಗಿರುವ ಮುರಳೀಧರ್‌ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರ ಪತ್ನಿ ಮೀರಾ ಅವರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಇಲ್ಲಿದೆ.

Satvam Hardik Herbals, located near Kedila in Puttur, has been producing soap from Arecanut peel juice for some time and has recently obtained a patent. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of Muralidhar and his wife Meera, who are farmers.
