ಗಂಜಿ ಚಟ್ನಿ ಊಟದ ಔತಣ | heavenly tasting village food | Mangalore Boiled rice ganji chatni recipe
A healthy and simple meal which gives enough power to work hard, that is boiled rice porridge. The recipe is very simple so as to add the washed rice into boiling water. Cook for around 45 minutes to 1 hour in the medium flame. The perfect rice porridge structure and taste comes if you cook it in earthenware pot. Have hot rice porridge with chutney or that type of thick curries. Here we have 2 types of chutneies that perfectly suits rice porridge. Even spicy sendiges go well with rice porridge. Either you can have spicy pickle too. The rice porridge meal gives freshness for body and mind.
Ingredients:
Boiled rice 4cups
Required, water
Greated coconut 1
Mango ginger 2 pieces
Salt
Tamarind
Bird eye chilli
Tomato 3
Onion 2
Green, chilli 4
Salt
Tamarind

He will have acres of coconut and supari plantation. Still he will end up going to city to find some job and struggles to meet the ends. Girl will still marry him if he is in the city. This is the fate of agriculture based families and their boys.

🙏ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ. 35-40 ವರ್ಷದ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಬಾಲ್ಯದ ದಿನಗಳು ನೆನಪಾದವು. ಅಜ್ಜಿ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ಆದಿಉಡುಪಿ ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಮದ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಬುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಕುಚ್ಚಲಕ್ಕಿ ಗಂಜಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದುದು ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿಗೆ ಬಂತು. ಬಾಲ್ಯದ ಆ ದಿನಗಳು ಮರಳಿ ಬಾರದು. ಕೇವಲ ಸುಮಧುರ ನೆನಪುಗಳು. ನೆನಪು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು. 👍 I miss U ' ಗಂಜಿ ' very much.

I had manglorian friends who were very proud of this ganji oota. But never had an opportunity to taste. Bhattru prepared it in the traditional way. How this could be done with pressure cooker and mixie grinder ?
