Good teaching on Spiritual experiences Pastor as it does bring clarity to the everyone. Interesting to see us talk about culture and traditions. Our previous generations said culture and traditions are irrelevant to Pentecostals so our kids are currently in the neither there nor here category. They don’t wear white but they don’t embrace their cultural identity. They wear ornaments but they don’t take care of older parents and call their husbands by name unlike our previous generations did etc etc. Progressive revelations in the Pentecostal church has caused so much pain as things we said were wrong yesterday become ok today and things we say are wrong today becomes ok tomorrow 😢

It is extremely difficult to find churches with true doctrines. For example, who teaches even the teachings of the fundamental teachings of Jesus in the sermon on the Mount. We are far from Him,like Israel was in Babylon due to sin. Therefore we need to seek God for true REVIVAL AND RESTORATION. It is coming .Please read the last part of Acts 3.

You say there are four criteria to determine whether some doctrine is true or false: 1. Scripture, 2. Tradition, 3. Experience, and 4. Culture. Let me take them: 1. Who decides what is scripture and by what basis and authority? Should one accept Protestant canon for the Bible, or the Catholic or the Orthodox? Why not add the Gospel of Thomas which was part of Dead Sea Scrolls? What about the Gospels of Mary? 2. What tradition is true? The Greek pagan traditions of the second century, the Roman pagan traditions incorporated into Catholic traditions, or the Malayali tradition? What is the criterion? 4. What experience is the true one? Exactly similar event happening to two different persons is perceived, felt and understood differently. So whose experience should be taken as true? What criterion you would apply? ******* You say worshipping Mary began towards the end of the first century. Can you show any historical evidence that Mary ever lived? The canonic gospels were written towards the middle of the second century. Mary came much before that?

Who decides spiritual experiences in a believer or church? While you state the Holy Spirit's role, the video gives the impression that people's spiritual experiences depend on the church/denomination they attend. Which is why according to you Baptists, in spite of their understanding of the Word, do not have spiritual experiences. So who gave them the spiritual insights on the Word? Does the Holy Spirit have a role in this or not? Is it not a spiritual experience? Who scripted the words in the popular Christian songs written by Brethren believers? Are these not spiritual experiences? And these songs are sung at every Pentecostal meetings. When you mention about "unakka sabha yogams" you are essentially saying that spiritual experiences as per your definition are the result of the atmosphere created in a church meeting. However, in the Bible we find it's the Holy Spirit who decides who should get a spiritual experience and when. As preacher and theologian Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones states, spiritual experiences are not something that can be made up on the spot or conjured up via human emotions. It is something that is brought about by God.

Please withdraw the ornamental doctrine. We pentacostals don't. want.
