Authentic Kerala Dishes with my personal Touch 😍
Ingredients
Soya -100gm
Onion -2
Ginger -1tsp
Garlic -2tsp
Salt-
Green chilli -2
Tomato-2
Curryleaves -
Coconut Slices -few opt
Turmeric Powder -one pinch
Pepper powder -1tbsp
Garam masala -1tsp
Sugar -1 pinch
Coconut Oil -4tbsp
Thick Coconut Milk -1/2 cup
For cooking Soya -
Water -1/4cup
Chilli Powder -1/4tsp
Turmeric Powder -one pinch
Salt-1/4tsp
Method
Take 100 gm soya. Soak it in hot water for 20 mins. Then squeeze the soya and dip it in water again. Then squeeze the water again. Do the process 2 -3 times. Cut it into 3 or 4 pieces. Add the soya pieces into a cooker. Add turmeric, chilly powder,salt and water.mix well. Close the lid and cook for one whistle. Open immediately.
Take a kadai add oil.on medium flame add coconut chunks. Fry it well. Add some curry leaves.add crushed garlic and ginger. Saute on medium flame. Add onion and green chilly. Add salt and let the onion turn light brown. Keep it on low flame. Add turmeric , garam masala and saute. Add 1 tbsp pepper powder.saute well. Add tomato and let it cook. Close the lid. Since it is non stick no need to add water. When the tomatoes is cooked well add the soya pieces. Cook for 5 mins. Dry the water with the lid on. Check the spices and salt. Check the pepper and adjust accordingly. Add 1 tbsp of oil and roast more. Add a pinch of sugar. Now add thick coconut milk. Remove from fire. Garnish with curry leaves and pepper (if require).close the lid and keep it for 5 mins.
Serve it with rice
