But ഇത് untouchability ആണ് തൊട്ട്കൂടായിമ ആണ്. ജാതിവിവേചനം ആണ് അതിനെ ഇങ്ങനെ വിശ്വസം ആയിട്ട് പരിഗണിക്കും എന്ന് എനിക്ക് അറിയില്ല.😅

The family has not got it yet. The farther still lives in the privilege. The kids lives in a bubble, life not exposed to subalterns. For me the biggest problem is “ignorance is bliss” attitude. She declaring I do not know much about the history of those times is itself problematic. One should have some basic sense of the society we live in and its history. Like you rightly said they (both dad and daughter and all the people supporting their innocent comments) are not understanding that the problem is about romanticising caste based discrimination. Bro, this subject is actually bit complicated, I am from a village called bhoothakulam and we (me and u) both are almost like same age (just to note i am not so younger or elder) . In my childhood actually I eyewitnessed a lot of similar kind of activities in our village and it was not so uncommon for village people who born in the era of early 90’s and before. Also to be noted, I am not from that so called luxury of cast hierarchy. Don’t know whether krishnakumar is saying true or no, but it is true that such things are there in many villages till the begin of 2000’s. The beginning of political correctness started working in many villages after 2005 only, it’s very hard to believe, but it’s very true. Also I remember in my young age, i eyewitnessed that one person and his entire family was mocked and alienated just because he is married a scheduled cast women, even their children also. Kerala is very diversified one, if u observe the attitude of 2 kids from city and village in a particular district will be very different to each other.
Having sweet nostalgia when you are not on the other end receiving a different treatment and then boasting about it without calling it an injustice is not at all acceptable.
