The very popular Aanayoottu Festival 2023 will be held on August6 . History of Aanayoottu Festival - The Ayurveda Connection. It is specifically celebrated in the rainy season or the Karkkidakam when the monsoons are receding. Hailed as the month of rejuvenation, Karkkidakam traces its roots back to the ancient science of Ayurveda. There are 20 elephants participated in the Anayoottu ceremony held at Cherai Sree Gowreeswaram Temple. This ceremony organised by Gajasena Aanapremi sangham, Cherai.Thousands of people were joined to this ceremony.
