I bought and used 4 Chinese made tyres back in 2012. I live in a western country, so seasonal snow is a factor here. If water or slight snow is on the road, these tyres have no grip on the road. Few times I luckily escaped from accidents. After one year I threw them out, bought Michelin tyres. No such problem after that. I will never buy another Chinese tyre in my life.

The anti-monopoly watchdog Competition Commission of India (CCI) has imposed a collective penalty of over Rs 1,788 crore on five tyre companies for indulging in alleged cartelization. The five tyre companies include Apollo Tyres Ltd, MRF Ltd, CEAT Ltd, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd and Birla Tyres Ltd. The fairtrade regulator has also imposed a penalty on the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association (ATMA) for indulging in cartelisation by acting in concert to increase the prices of cross-ply/bias tyres variants sold by each of them in the replacement market and to limit and control production and supply in the said market.
