Puri
Ingredients
1. Wheat powder (Atta) - 2 cups
2. Salt - to taste
3. Oil - 1 tbsp
4. Water (approx.) - ½ to ¾ cup
5. Oil - 2 cups
Preparation
1. Mix 1 tbsp oil & salt with atta & make a dough adding just enough water and kneading well.
2. Keep covered for 20 to 30 minutes, divide into convenient balls, smear each with a drop of oil & spread out into evenly thick rounds.
3. Fry in hot oil so that both sides puff up, drain & set aside.
Serve hot with any choice of accompaniment.
