ഞാൻ മതവിശ്വാസത്തിനോ, രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിനോ എതിരല്ല. അത് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നത് ഓരോരുത്തരുടെയും വ്യക്തിസ്വാതന്ത്ര്യമാണ്. അത് ഒരിയ്ക്കലും അന്ധമാകാനോ അടിച്ചേൽപ്പിയ്ക്കാനോ പാടുള്ളതല്ല എന്ന് മാത്രം. ആ വിശ്വാസം വിറ്റ് മതമേലാളന്മാരായി വാഴുന്ന ആളുകളുടെ ഉള്ളിലിരുപ്പ് തിരിച്ചറിയണം എന്നൊരു അപേക്ഷ മാത്രമേ ഉള്ളൂ. മനുഷ്യരുടെ മതവിശ്വാസം ഇല്ലാതായാൽ ഈ സമുദായ നേതാക്കന്മാർക്ക് ഒരു വിലയും ഉണ്ടാകില്ല. ഇങ്ങിനെ ഒരു സ്ഥാനത്ത് വന്നില്ലായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ അവരിൽ പലരെയും നമ്മൾ അറിയുക പോലും ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു. ഇങ്ങിനെയുള്ളവരുടെ (ഏത് സമുദായം ആയാലും) വാക്ക് കേട്ട് ഭക്തി മൂത്ത് വാളെടുക്കുമ്പോഴാണ് കലാപങ്ങളും യുദ്ധങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടാകുന്നത്. ഒന്നുകൂടി പറയട്ടെ, "ഈ ഭൂമിയിലെ ഓരോ മനുഷ്യർക്കും സമാധാനപരമായി സുഖസന്തോഷമായി ജീവിയ്ക്കാൻ വേണ്ടുന്നതെല്ലാം ഈ ഭൂമിയിൽ ഉണ്ട്. പക്ഷേ, ആരുടേയും അത്യാഗ്രഹം നിറവേറ്റാൽ ഈ ഭൂമിയിലെ വിഭവങ്ങൾ പര്യാപ്തമല്ലതാനും" ഈ വർഗ്ഗീയത ഉള്ളിൽ വച്ചുകൊണ്ടുള്ള കപട ഭക്തിയെ അകറ്റി നിർത്തി, പരസ്പരബഹുമാനത്തോടെ ജീവിച്ചാൽ ഈ ഭൂമിയെത്തന്നെ നമുക്ക് സ്വർഗ്ഗമാക്കാം. അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഒരുനാൾ ഈ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സ്വന്തം നാടും മറ്റൊരു കലാപഭൂമിയായി മാറും. മതവികാരത്തിൽ ചോര തിളച്ചുമറിയുമ്പോൾ ഒരുവേള നമ്മുടെ വീട്ടിലുള്ള സ്ത്രീകളെയും കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെയും പറ്റി ആലോചിയ്ക്കുക. ഏതൊരു യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെയും യാതനകൾ ഏറ്റവും അനുഭവിക്കേണ്ടി വരുന്നത് അവരാണ്. അനാഥരായ മക്കളോ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഏത് പുരുഷന്റേത് എന്നറിയാതെ ഗർഭം ചുമക്കുന്ന സ്ത്രീകളോ. ഭയപ്പെടുത്താൻ പറഞ്ഞതല്ല, എല്ലാ കലാപങ്ങളുടെയും യുദ്ധങ്ങളുടെയും അവസാനം അങ്ങിനെയാണ് എന്ന് ചരിത്രം പരിശോധിച്ചാൽ മനസ്സിലാകും. കുറിപ്പ്: ആരെയും വേദനിപ്പിയ്ക്കാനോ ആരുടേയും വികാരങ്ങൾ മുറിപ്പെടുത്താണോ വേണ്ടി പറഞ്ഞതല്ല. ദയവായി ചീത്തവിളിയ്ക്കാൻ വരരുത്. നമ്മൾ ജനിച്ചുവളർന്ന ഈ ഭൂമി ഇതിനേക്കാൾ മനോഹരമായി നമുക്ക് അടുത്ത തലമുറയ്ക്കുവേണ്ടി കരുതി വയ്ക്കാം!

Part IV of Article 44 states: “The State shall endeavor to secure the citizen a Uniform Civil Code throughout the territory of India.” The word used in constitution is endeavor meaning ഉത്സാഹം; യത്‌നം; ഉദ്യമം; പരിശ്രമം; not mandate meaning ഉത്തരവ്‌; കല്‍പന; ശാസനം. The question is whether this uniformity is desirable in a country with immense diversity of customary practice; and whether tinkering with the constitutional protection for personal laws of every religion is appropriate. Constitution also talks of equal rights..why don't you talk about it? How many communities in India have availed equal rights? Why is there a "Hindu Undivided Family" (HUF) tax exemption then?

Both directive principles and fundamental duties are not justiciable. But the point is hon.speaker is only seeing fundamental duties and not dpsp. Fundamental duties were not even part of original constitution and was added by 42nd amendment. Now fundamental duty says' it shall be the duty of every citizen' clearly its meant for all citizen, and yes speaker is also one,so that is justified that he is trying hard to fullfill his duty mentioned in 51A(h)(scientific temper) Now the point is Hon. Speaker is part of the STATE. And it is clearly mentioned in art 37 that all DPSPs are 'fundamnetal in the governance of the country and it shall be the the duty of the state to apply these princoples in making laws' In that case he have to give equal or more importance in implementing Art 44 -UCC, 47-prohibition of the consumption of intoxicating drugs (except for medicine), art 48 (prohibiting slaughter of cows and calves and other milch and draught cattle.) No one will dare even to mention about these dpsps as these will affect the vote bank and appeasement strategies. If one is using constitutional articles to justify ones words, that should not be selective. It clearly shows double stand.

CPM ആശയം നല്ലതാണ് എന്നത് മിത്ത് അല്ലെ നമ്മൾ അന്ധമായ കമ്മ്യൂണിസത്തെ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു. ഇത്രയും കൊല്ലം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടും ഇതുവരെ ആ ആശയത്തിൽ ഉയർന്ന ഒരു രാജ്യം പോലും ഇല്ല. റഷ്യ പോലും കമ്മ്യൂണിസം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച ശേഷമാണ് സാമ്പത്തിക ഉയർച്ച കൈവരിച്ചത്.
