This talk was very useful for me to reflect on my own parenting aspect. I feel anxious about my child, I have been subjected to toxic parenting of my mother. My parents did not have good relationship and my mother wanted us children to bring her pride and happiness. In this process she has driven lot of anxiety in to me and my greatest fear is that I am going to pass on this to my only child. I am married to a narcissist person and managing job home and child is so overwhelming that I lose my cool. I definitely do not want to be a mother like my mom. I forgave her but I absolutely detest her way of emotionally manipulating and toxic parenting and do not want to be like her.
