The deafening noise inside the cabin of the diesel engine locomotive is very heavy. I often wonder how the hearing doesn't get damaged!!! That much noisy. It will increase blood pressure and severe and prolonged headache. The electric locomotive has no noise inside the cabin.

I appreciate all your vedeos .I give you ann information on first Train Acccident in Kerala .It hahappened in 1976 train of Steam Locomotive .Goods train of Petrol and Diesel from Cochin Refinery with 7 wagons and my uncle Mr.K.V Nathan was Guard . Train Toppled at Koratty Station having No major mishap of fire from Petrol Wagons No further reports available to me now
What you say is not correct. That accident happend close to koratty station was in 1968. I live barely 500 meters away from that spot. It was a diesel loco carrying diesel tankers and bitumen wagons as well. Some kind of track maintenance was going on on the culvert culvert right before that station and train was going slow. Derailment did happen and few diesel tankers and some of the bitumen wagons caught fire. Thick black smoke and exploding tankers made a terrifying scene. People took off their houses taking their valuables. Atleast a dozen fire engines came from aluva ad trichur. It was a British citizen who was the manager at J&P Coats koratty managed to disconnect the locco coupling to save it from the fire. Another major accident and horrific fire happend in the year 1993 4 kms north of koratty near divine station on a culvert in the middle of vast paddy field. I could easily count 16 diesel tankers all of them scattered in that field those were on fire the previous night. No casualties directly related but one diver who jumped into a deep pond near the track to retrieve the lost police walkie talkie didn't make it and I witnessed the police pull his body from that pond😔
