@@jiga2392 i agreed with your 3rd point. western countries are individualist and eastern countries are collectivist. in western countries, everyone supported and promoted others based on merits and eastern countries like to cut any grass that grows a little bit too tall. also, eastern countries rely too much on the government to help them, whereas westerners do things by themselves. here's an example, I have relatives in Santi Suk, Nan that always complained to me about how poor and hard life is, but when I said I'll send money to them to start a business then they back out and give a bunch of excuses. two years ago, a bunch of my relatives went to buy about 20 rai of farmland in Chiang Kham, but they're still saving to go build houses later. so, I said to my aunt and uncle (who live about 2 hrs away) that it probably going to take a minimum 5 yrs to save or maybe even 10 yrs. then I told my aunt and uncle that, how about I send them $5,000 baht to either plant fruit trees or go build a little house there and raise animals to earn money to build a house later. those 20 rai of land are owned by about 8 people, each owns about 1-2 rai per person. that uncle and aunt that I wanted to help own 2 rai and I told them that others are not going to go live there for the next 5-10yrs, how about both of them ask to use the land to do business but both said they don't have time. my aunt is a nursery teacher and my uncle is a daily laborer. both declined my help and instead just choose to complain about being poor. 😩
