Yes!! This seems to be unique to Asian civilisations where we have men-women cloths, that do not need stitching or clipping anywhere, just a couple of meters cloth to wrap in so many wonderful different ways. I am definitely going to try this drape-style which seems so comfortable and simple for something to wear in house for day to day basis! Just a waist or thigh length asian top-blouse would go superb with this full length garment! Already thinking of converting some of my thick cotton saadis doublefold to get this effect. First going to try my husband's dhoti to try the knot n fold for practice which seems to be of ideal length 😇
Thailand influence by Indian culture, including costumes then rearrange into Thai styles. This is like Chinese, Korean, Japanese costumes, their costumes looks a bit like each other but different in details.
@@AznDragonQueen There are ancient temple exactly the same style as Khmers all over Thailand wtf r u talking about? Also you never really come across Khmer trolls? Really? Then you are a troll yourself. Dont write back
Chem Vitu both countries are neighbours. It’s not unusual for you to share certain things/culture. We malaysians have similar cuisines with thailand. It is not unusual.
@@saoheng5824 Thai dress has a history. Its origin has been recorded in the La Lube letter since the Ayutthaya period, with Thai art murals everywhere. Not suddenly wanting to dress like Cambodia, and Cambodian itself just wearing Thai clothes and more popular Thai costumes than the Cambodian national costume. Cambodia just wears Thai dress according to the Bubsaniwat drama that has just finished watching and the trend is very famous in Cambodia. Until the trend of wearing Thai dresses, both popular Chiang Mai Thai umbrellas, garlands, Thai flowers and Thai dresses come to buy in Thailand.
@@saoheng5824 Is it true that the Khmer Ministry of Culture banned people from wearing Thai clothes to go to the temples, but nowadays people are turning to claim Thai clothes? You can fool yourself, but you can't fool the whole world because everyone has a phone and internet where they can find information even at home. Can you answer? Why is it forbidden to wear Thai clothes to Angkor Wat?
