Thank you mom for showing me this song years ago and thank you Jujubee for the reminder. I can’t believe it was on Grand Theft Auto and I didn’t know it. Anybody listening in 2020?
Hell yeah! You'll never beat the old songs~ I feel like the newer songs of 2020 have lost most of that important something, you know? Just doesn't have what the old songs do
The fact that this song is actually about my cousin (thank you Family Ancestry for pointing out that I'm related to Elvis) and I'd already grown up loving this song. Now I love this song even more
I didn't realise this song was written about Elvis Presley. When you know that & listen to the lyrics again, it's so obvious. These lyrics do reflect how sensual & sexual Elvis was & the impact he had on people. What a great loss when he died. He's as relevant today as he was in 50's-70's. Forty years gone on 16.08.2017.
I am actually named after this song. My mom fell in love this song and when I was born she couldn't think of any other name and named me Velvet. As I gotten older on my 10th birthday my mom introduced me to this song and told me I was named after this song. Also what's also unique is I only wear black clothes 😆. So this song definitely suits me and I am happy my mom named me after Alannah Myles song Black Velvet. I am now 24 years old and when my birthday comes along I always listen to this song ❤️
I remember my mom use to sing this song to me when I was a baby....I miss my mother This song is about Elvis. Gone but never forgotten Ode to the King. She's got a great voice.

My Aunt tried to battle me at this song and lost so now I love singing it. And it was my first time listening to it when she battled me. It is a great song and has wonderful lyrics
There's nothing wrong with trying on heels in black lipstick, late at night when you should be asleep. You're asking yourself what does this have to do with this song... The answer: YES
The reference to "Love Me Tender" and Mississippi didn't give it away? (Elvis Presley was from Mississippi, and Love Me Tender was one of his first songs)
I got to listen to my boyfriend's sister sing this during part of her birthday party yesterday and it was BEAUTIFUL and it made me wanna listen to the song again which is awesome because I hadn't heard it in forever
cruisersism ..Elvis used Miss Clairol #51 D "Black Velvet" Hair dye when he dyed his hair at home.Another FYI,Sometimes, Presley would sign autographs on fans' breasts - "Elvis" on the left and "Presley" on the right.I bet you didn't know that! lol Elvis was a ladies man,the women and girls loved him!He was and is the greatest! Love and miss him!
@@jefrossman1877 I’m doing fine thank you. Was a bit of a different Christmas to the usual with this virus situation, but enjoyable nevertheless. Hope you’re staying safe.
