This question of how and why is Tigray's politics and leadership is the same pre- and post genocide and the lack of accountability and radical change should be a question for every Tigrayan citizen to reckon with, scholars to research and our media's to make it the center of daily discourse. This question should be front and center of our discussion. It would be no brainer to expect a repeat of complete genocide in the future, infact near future, if we fail to answer this question for once and last time. It’s unfortunate that the TPLF leaders are allowed to betray the people of Tigray over and over again. No one of them should be allowed to lead. It’s a shame that they wouldn’t admit their failure and exposed the Tigray People for the genocidal forces. They never dare to ask for resignations, either. The past is past, but the future of Tigray, with the TPLF leadership on power, is very gloomy.

The idea of "politics is local" nowadays is narrow. Those who have wider perspective are the ones who can lead. We need broader minds who consider the interest of others to live in peace with our neighbors and beyond.
