This was a highly informative and thought-provoking interview. I've always known tegadaly Hailemicael to be one of Eritrea's most thoughtful and eloquent artists. But I'm pleasantly surprised to learn from this interview that his is also an extraordinarly meticulous students of history who addresses any topic with awe-inspiring integrity and humility. Please bring Lingo back soon. And keep up the good work.
So who he didn't know what Eritrea been under the Italians no Ethiopian so what he is talking about so remember Eritrea been under Italy for how long please don't tell me about asmera just go find the file in Rome
Overall I agree with Hailemichaels statements but when he was questioned what was the miscalculation of TPLF that leads to total defeat and Disarmament? In my opinion he missed the three basic points: 1) starting war against the Eritrean Govt and deporting and uprooting more than 90 k Eritreans in Ethiopia and confiscated their properties. 2) On November 4, 2020 when they crash SEMIENAWI EZI Federal soldiers and underestimate the Eritrean Defence Forces. 3) On the tplf 3rd war offensive in recent months, they did not consider and pay attention the Eritrean landscape and strategy can be used against them by the Federal Forces! I really don’t know how Lingo missed those miscalculation.
I think you're missing Lingo's point. He wasn't detailing TPLF's most recent miscalculations. Rather, he was giving a high level description TPLF's calculation, starting with the betrayal of Eritrea.
Lingo is a walking encyclopedia of EPLF history in relation to Eritrea and the region. True eplfite who never left his foundation! I wish he has his own show- Eritreans would learn a lot from this product of eplf historian and philosopher!

Eritrea is packed with history and some of this even predate Axum. Christianity first started in Eritrea, way before in Ethiopia. The same could be said of Islam. Sadly, however, the Eritrean history has been robbed left and right. In Ethiopian national museum, there are a lot of important artifacts taken from Eritrea. Alula was a slave raider. In fact, the people of Eritrean lowland had been enslaved by Alula. That was why they celebrated the defeat of Alula and welcomed the coming of Italian colonialism. Italy immediately abolished slavery.
