@Well Wisher I don't think it's any secret to the people of Kerala just how regressive much of our mentality is. That being said, showing that you are secular atleast on the outside means that you still believe it to be the right way forward, chances are the next generation will be a bit more secular in the inside as well. Northern states, on the other hand, have left all pretense and that is dangerous because now you no longer fear committing any sort of atrocities because you have already shown your true colour.
