truly a Saraswathi incarnate! just seeing her pronounce words of every song, such clarity. Truly the incomparable singer in Indian country. even Lata cannot attempt songs like 'Akasaveedhilo' in Telugu and Mannavan vandanadi in Tamil. A great disciple to a great guru like Prof. Dwaram Venkataswamy Naidu.

Dear Mr Johny, Please dont mistake my opinion about your interview..You are a renowned interviewer alright trying to bring out the best from anyone in front of you, but here I wish you could go a little slower with your questions to Sushelamma as she struggles a bit to catch your pace and even what you really meant and for the same reason answers were a bit blunt..You were your usual you as if a born Keralite is in front of you and shooting questions at a blessed legend. Otherwise it was a fine chance to see her speaking to us so graciously even at this age. Thank you for that......

One Malayali lady taught Janakiyamma the language. That lady was working in a telephone exchange in Bombay. Whenever she has night shift duty she used to call Janakiyamma and speak to her in Malayalam for long time. That is how she became fluent in Malayalam...

S. Janaki is the greatest singer of all time in Malayalam. Beautiful sound, expressiveness, singing excellence, and accent. She's great. P Susheela is also a great singer but her pronunciation is a bit lacking.

It about time that malayalam song should develop uniquely different from other indian languages. Take Korean music like K-pop, they took the World by storm. The Malayalam music industry need new voices among Malayalees in Kerala or Malayalees born abroad......something that make a different with quality Old Malayalam songs just as any other indian languages has lot of adaptation from western tune or songs with a bit od twist. Even nowadays Korean soap operas movies are loved around the World bcos of it originality. Bollywood is about remakes whiles others has the same storyline.
