Thank you for this video, my girlfriends car is doing the same thing, and it’s cold right now in Michigan so every little bit of information can help me not be outside any longer than I need to be helps
Daughter's car having the exact same issues. Haven't looked for the fuse yet, fingers crossed. because until I saw this, i was thinking it had to be the CEU... i'll share3 my results
Thank you thank you thank you. Just happened to me, and it was the same fuse. Been searching for hours what the problem was. Luckily i have the same car.
Did the power streering work? I have this same problem with my 2006 1.6 avensis. I had to use go-pro few times to film for my work. After each time I parked the car and turned it of the next day realized that the cigarette lighter fuze had blown. Anyways I switched it few times and then yesterday I put in a charger to to plug to fill up my phone everything died. Powersteering, everything that you control from inside. Never had these issues in 8 years before. All the fuses seem fine but there's no power coming to 2 fuzes. All the big fuzes are ok and relays. Even the ciratettelighter fuze is ok. Windows are open, can't close them, cant open the trunk. Nothing. The car runs and charges the battery, but it runs with really low sounding rpm. It has the same engine 1.6 vvti. I live in finland so it's an european model, but still the same problem. Any idea what fuze it might be under the dash? I would really really really need help. I have one more day of holiday left and need to drive 400km tomorrow. Can't even read the obd cause it's also dead. Mine is manual, but it impossible to drive. My friend found a temporary emergenzy solution and bolted a wire from main fuzebox from under the hood and on the other end there is an plug for the cigarette lighter. Everything works with that, but the problem isn't solved and can't take the risk to drive 400km with that.. Please if you can repond quickly. Have a nice day from finland :)
@@SaadMahmood-k3l AM1 25amp fuze had blown from the cabin. In my car it's number was number 36. It also contols other various thing like ignition, cig lighter and Rad NO1 fuze functions so those won't work either. Check the manual. RAD1 fuze is 7.5 amp, but it didn't fix it completely (mine is european model Avensis with 3zz-fe 1.6). After replacing alternator now everything works fine. There must have been a massive powersurge to the alternator so it was almost working, but didn't really. Alternator was was about 200 euros and quite easy to replace. Hopefully this helps. Check the AM1 fuze and take it away from fuzebox before measuring, it might show that it's ok if you try with multimeter, but when you take it out from the socket it gives you the right reading. I would replace it that first.
So check those two fuzes and if your battery light comes on when you put power to your car after replacing them. They are under the steering wheel. First check the 25amp AM1 and RAD NO.1 (7.5 amp fuze). When you have switched those then put the power on but don't start it. If the battery sign won't light up in your dash then it's most propably the alternator. I also switched the battery first, but didn't do any good. Ask more instructions if you need, but that should fix it. It's a tiny sized fuze
Ok i have a 2008 corolla and same problem starts but no power to the dash stereo ext.... checked all the fuses and looked fine so any suggestions would be great.
My car does this! But it’s starting every time but there’s no power to anything and it’s stuck in park, got a new battery and new terminals and everything NOTHING! It’s a 98’ Corolla! PLEASE HELP! I gotta get my gas tank installed tmrw
If you checked that shifter cable and it’s connected, I have another video where a fuse underneath the dash kept blowing every time I used my cell phone charger. It caused similar issues. Check that video out and see if it helps.
