1923 is well worth the wait!! Its my favorite out of all of them. Spencer and Alex are my favorite. Brandon Sklenar is going places for sure. Taylor Sheridan couldn't have cast a better actor. Im kind of disappointed that he won't be in 1944. Matthew McConaughey is playing Spencer, cause of 20 years older. My question is "Why can't the use makeup?" Their alot of actors that age with grace. I think its definitely going to lower ratings not having the real Spencer "Brandon Sklenar ". This is my opinion and I'm sure I'm not the only one!

This is absolutely fabulous. The only thing they forgot - in the line of continuity - is that where ever there are horses there is horse manure. Especially in Montana in 1923, the streets were full of horse manure. HOW do they leave this out or do they consider it improper - which is crazier than forgetting about it.

@5:50 I fully understand that happened to the women in her family, but it's not happening to the women now, *WE AS HUMANS NOW HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT PAST* And would never do anything like that now, so how is the trauma of her past still haunting her if nothing like this has happened? It would be like me saying my great great grandpa was beaten growing up by my nextdoor neighbors great grandparents and it still hurts me so everyone needs to know about it and feel bad for us....

this wasn’t happening to just the women in her family, it happened on a broad scale to native populations who were basically either exterminated or assimilated to the white way of life, aka reprogrammed like robots. therefore, survival also meant a kind of death.
@pinstripingbybear.
@pinstripingbybear. Год назад
@@monicaalexandru9638 we understand that it happened but there is nothing we can do now to fix the past, and what I was trying to get across was why does it cause her so much pain now ? When we had nothing to do with it as a human race now.

For me segments of 1923 were hard to watch ! As a immigrant and survivor of SANCTIONED abuse by the Catholic school boards "teaching system" for me in the 50's and 60's ! I can't imagine what the earlier indigenous people with NO RECOURSE or help of any kind had to endure ALL in the name of religion ! Your NOT alone !

The copper mines have scorpions that even a baby one can kill a big man. Scorpions derive their venom from the minerals in the rocks. What makes it so deadly is that the human system can't filter copper.

Was pretty darn good except no need for the crude language but throwing in the sex scenes in the latest episodes which added nothing to the storyline just confirmed they were just trying to film minutes and the producer and writers had no real vision on how to fill 60 minutes of a show. Sad they had to resort to such trash and that Paramount plus supports such poor TV and somehow thinks this is entertainment that can be shown in households.

Overall I like this series so far, except that they left just about every good guy character at a cliffhanger, which I think is excessive. I do not appreciate the gratuitous nudity and love scenes -- that is my major dislike. What happened to being tasteful and leaving most to the imagination? A little goes a long way, and subtlety is more effective than being graphic.

@@NMWriterofWords That's okay -- people like what they like, it's all subjective. I have tried to watch Yellowstone, too, but just can't get into it for various reasons. If Sam Elliott weren't one of the leads in 1883, I probably would have ignored it since I don't watch Yellowstone, but I soon felt attached to nearly every character. 1923 is interesting and high quality, but I only feel attached to a few of the characters so far. I'm still interested enough to tune in for Season 2.

Notice the behavior of the Duttons versus the antagonist. The Duttons BUILT. The others TAKE. Make sure you are a BUILDER, not ta Thief. Build your uphill meadows and make sure you do not take and violate agreements. The way those "missionaries" behaved was the same way the Islamic extremists behave. in thee nd that kind of behavior is what KILLED religion. Many people fail to look at nuance and fine details and they see just these Missionaries and fail to recognize the same base behaviors in and creed and religion that are a signature of trouble. "My way or the Pain way." Are hallmarks of Totalitarianism, Communism and the far left and right. You do that to any people for long enough and you get what that nun got. The natural organic response of any organism pushed to the limits or survival. The depth of this stuff is so deep.

I was not happy with this show. Especially Spencer’s love story was incredibly dull and stupid. Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford were great though, but 1883 as a whole was much better. Taylor Sheridan should up his game. Perhaps he is doing so many projects right now that it’s hurting quality. Yellowstone currently ain’t great either 😔

I've found Spencer's story very interesting, but to each their own. Spencer and Cara Dutton are the characters so far whom I'm enjoying the most. I enjoyed the series 1883 more. Overall I don't think 1923 is as good, but it's still well worth watching. (The one thing that really annoys me is the gratuitous nudity and graphic love scenes -- a little goes a long way and it never needs to be graphic.)
