‘Absolute moron’: Douglas Murray slams CNN anchor for ‘racist hatred’ 

The news in America needs to start being held accountable for what they say. As an American, I can't believe any of what they say.

These people are professional victims and full of hate.

As a U.S. citizen, to the people of the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth, and rational people around the globe; I apologize, yet again, for what used to be the 'newspaper of record' in the U.S. The late Queen Elizabeth II had absolutely nothing to do with colonization; during her reign there was only 'decolonization'. Her Majesty worked for peace and reconciliation, and she lived a life of service performed with superior grace and modesty. I am thankful my country was an offspring of the British Empire...our system of justice, rights, and the dignity of the individual came from our English/British heritage. To paraphrase Sir Winston Churchill, 'The British Empire was the worst empire in world history; except for all the others' (Including our American Empire, which we deny)

Thank you for saying the things that the American media refuses to say. It was insulting to me as a Canadian, when the Americans I knew were celebrating the Queen's death, while not knowing anything meaningful about Britain, the UK, or the commonwealth.

I moved to Trinidad and Tobago in 1962 when it gained its independence from Britain. It remained in the Commonwealth until I left in 1976 and became a Republic. Since then, it has done nothing but gone down the toilet!

I come from a line of Dutchmen (Voortrekkers) whose forefathers were held in concentration camps in South Africa under British Rule. Many women and children died of diseases and starvation in those concentration camps. It happened about 100 years ago and I can't tell you that I'm affected by that today, nor is it reason for me to hate the late Queen or anyone of British decent. It is in the past and I don't allow it to dictate my future. May the Queen rest in peace and may Brittian be under God's immeasurable grace.

I’ve noticed as an American that no one ever wants to talk about Italy taking slaves into the 1920’s or Belgium committing untold colonial atrocities or the German colonial genocides or point out that Portugal and Spain took / killed far more slaves than any other colonial power. No, no one wants to talk about the prodigious Islamic slave trade “legal in some states into the 1970’s” or that the Africans themselves had culturally, religiously and indeed economically engaged in slavery long before any European involvement. No one wants to talk about the statistical fact that most African slaves were enslaved by and sold by other Africans. No, no it’s all America and Englands fault. Forget the fact that the English ended the west African slave trade single handedly at extreme cost of money, resources and lives. No, no it must all just be that the Queen’s to blame even though she wasn’t in power or even alive at the time. Bless the Queen and all our good, faithful friends throughout England imo.
