Author Douglas Murray has called out left-wing media outlets for telling Donald Trump to tone down his language after facing two assassination attempts.
Mr Murray encouraged the Democrats and the media to “tone down” their language about the former president being a threat to democracy.
“I would like to think that if there had been two attempts on the life of Kamala Harris in the last few weeks that you would not find what right-wing media there is in America saying, ‘Well, she brought it on herself’,” he told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“I mean, that's a quite amazing thing with recent days in relation to Donald Trump, the left-wing media in America actually saying, ‘yeah, here's another assassination attempt on him, but maybe he shouldn't use such dirty words’.
“I find that astonishing.”
