Highly entertaining and enjoyable. It takes an old fella like me back to a miss spent youth of scooter obsession, when I should have really been concentrating on my education. Happy days!
Really do love these vids. Always watch them on the big screen with a cuppa and a pack of Otties (poor man’s Hob nobs) other biscuits are available. Can’t wait until the next video as they make my day.
@@stuarthooper2258 it’s not easy being cheesy!!… it takes time… no honesty it does- eg I had to take a day off work just to do the future me bits and edit them in!… luckily I work for myself but…
FairDeals, the finest automotive parts money can buy, all genuine. SPOILER PART 4. Looking forward! to the next episode. I was the bloke driving the White Lexus pulling the empty bike trailer heading for the ferry who you waved at. I was going to stop and help but as you were so wet and tired I didn't want to spoil your experience. Great vid🤣🤣🤣
With all the set back's and D'OH moments you have endured the end goal will be that much sweeter!!. Cheers Pacemaker, great to watch and look forward to the conclusion.
I stumbled on your channel by accident-it is brilliant to watch, real life home building.I was thinking though if it was "pastanory" how much more Italian could it be 😆😆.Keep up the insanity the world needs more folk like us !
Mark, that episode was absolutely magnificent and so entertaining to boot!!! Really enjoying your content Mark…you certainly know your way around a Lambretta engine and stuff!!
Things ain’t changed since the 70’s …. Never trust a spark plug even if it’s new!! Loving your videos & not just for your humour lol Looking forward to the next one… Brilliant 👍👍
Great Video. Honest. Humorous & Real. Also great to cast & watch on the Box especially when the Gang are gone to the Leaba (Irish for bed) look forward to part 4 ✊🏻☘️
@@gormo7689 hey pal you been Irish also maybe you can help me, looking for an old Li I50 from the 60's or early 70's, any information id be grateful.Tx ☘️
Dangnabbit! I've just finished a hard 60hr working week and came home to specifically watch this episode which seemed to take an age to appear...and now I have to wait until episode 4 comes out. Come on Mark...jivvy it up please
Mark I've seen a few of your scooter videos by now and also own one myself albeit a Lexmoto Milano haha which is ridden almost every day all I can say from what I have seen your professional approach to the the refurbishment of this scooter is just outstanding I'm just hats off too you brother
12:00 minutes in and you reminded me I needed a new set of feeler gauge. I returned 2mins later after ordering said gauges from a well known S. American river... Carry on
Absolutely brilliant again. I couldn’t stop laughing. All those problems and more I’ve had with mine in the past. So much funnier when it’s someone else going through them 😂😂
@@frankboff8185 cheers fella!…. There’s a series from last year as well if you have seen that one?… and another short one I haven’t posted yet…. (Ssshhhh 🤫)
Great video, very funny! I had a 198 mugello and 28mm dellorto on my Li special. Great kit, but i kept changing from a JL3 to an Ancillotti all the time, as i preferred the grunt from a box pipe
I ran into the same plug problem myself! I’m not even sure how I finally guessed that was it, I mean who would have thought a new plug could be shyte? 🤦🏻
@@flagman9000 yeah I used to use them all the time (even buying an original paint gp from them in the 00s) but I don’t get much from them anymore and I’ve no idea why not because they are excellent…: will use them more from now on though..
@@teampacemaker The red GP in their window sold for nearly £15k They sourced me an original red GP earlier this year. Original paint underneath panels and re painted well on outside of panels. Still the patina on your S2 is lovely. Please can we get part 4 ha ha
Nice one Mark, lovely attitude and well put together as always. I know how much work that goes i to making videos. Well done! Looking forward to the next one! 🙏🥳🛵💨💨
From across the pond. The bearing install "Round the Clock" here, could be confused with a brand of tights the "trouble and strife" bought. Great video. Narragansett Bay
What bloody hassle you had Mark especially with the Gori kit , great vid as always good sir ( apart from the 16 annoying ads- cheers RU-vid!) I look forward to the final chapter ;)
Back when I bought my 1961 Series II Widestyle in 1968, pretty much identical to this one, the rims and tyres were sold complete (about £8 as I recall)...
Like it. It was fitting you called the extra reflective bit, "Futurenaory" as calling it "Pastanaory" would have firstly made me hungry, secondly confused some people in to thinking the video was a Master Chief type program (easily done after watching it) and lastly you don't have the Italian accent for it. (Although it would have kept it in the Latin theme 😉). With reference to spark plugs, a wise man once said to me, "keep it simple stupid!" He'd never owned a Lambretta though! KFC ✊
p.s. I'm always saying to my Mr's, "I'd like to do more stuff, but I don't have the tools". After the way you wheeled that disc cutter around carboard and sellotape, I now know what I'm buying to hang the curtains!!
Did the spark plug come from ebay? There are knock offs on there that look perfect - until they don't work. Even side by side with a legit one they look right, but are rubbish.
Rob @ VE never returned ur call 🤣 nothing has changed then in over 10 yrs since I’ve known him. Norrie would bend over backwards to help you.oh and the 500 miles in 24hrs is wee buns 😂from my experience
@@exsoulagent yeah frustrating… someone had offered to make me the packer on their lathe… I just needed to know the thickness… I phoned ve and spoke to rob and explained the circumstances- ie I was leaving for a euro rally in 2 days and needed that measurement because I had someone lined up to make it… he said he’d ring me back later that afternoon….. ….. I was still hoping for the call as i drove to Camb lamb… nothing…. 🙄
" Got the taste for it now " ha , roll on part four, that compression Gezz talk about taming the beast ....Mark I love your delivery and those nods to satire and this restoration/ rebuild . I'll be positive lol but you know part four got something happening?
Really enjoyed watching the 3 part's looking forward to the next episode, really want a Lambo ppl say your to old, i say f*ck that life's for living, anyways were around the same age you don't look too old to have a Lambo you got loads, my fishtail is nearly 40 and still looks cool, only got one, Liam Gallagher has thousands all over the place, that's the Irish in him mad as box of frog's who the f*ck needs a thousand parkas rich twat 😁☘️🍻
Just in time is great when every single component of a plan is executed perfectly i.e. almost never. One question , how long was that first cylinder kit lying around in the workshop before you opened it?
@@laurencehastings7473 a month or so!!.., so yeah my bad for not checking but I did look through it but at the time I didn’t know there was a ‘head packer’… because I’d never had a kit that had a packer before and the earlier goris didn’t have one…
@@teampacemaker Well it obviously wasn't the head packer who packed your head, just hope you can still get a refund or at least get a proficient packer to pack you a replacement packer. The fact that you replied means that you did actually survive. Well done.
@@teampacemaker I could not understand why the front was so unstable ha... it all made sense and I was SHOCKED yes, luck is all that was.... thanks for the great lambretta content btw
@@bobhacking1431 yeah someone else has mentioned this- did you watch it on a laptop?… it comes out fine on my phone but obvs the speakers aren’t as good/complex?… anyway the mic I’m using is good quality it seems to pick up/switch to the background noises… I’ve got a new blue tooth one the clips onto your shirt for next time hopefully that’ll sort it…

Mike, have you ever wondered why you have so few subscribers? 11 years & 4+ subscribers. Unfortunately I stopped viewing after 17 minutes. With re-builds I like to know what or why you are doing - talking me through (as though I was there with you) what is being done. I see that you have 141 comments - your subscribers must be all lambretta owners, its the non owners that pay the bills those are the ones you need. Do it properly & you can stop work making, making videos on what you like doing.
@@ColinLennard it’s mark…,and the account might be 11 years old but iv only started posting 1 year ago- and iv only posted 7 filmed videos so far… 1/4 of a million views and 76,000 watched the first one in this series… (this is no 3 in a 4 part series ) and 4250 subscribers this year so not to shabby? , I think you have totally and utterly missed the point… this isn’t an instructional how to do it video it’s a story …on how I got a barn find running then rode a 1000 miles to France for a rally and back… there’s plenty of instructional videos on how to build Lambretta engines on RU-vid if you look.. this isn’t one of them…,like I said this is a tongue in cheek Lambretta adventure… and yes it’s aimed predominantly at Lambretta enthusiasts but also scooterists in general and read through the 100s of comments yours is the first negative one… And ps I’m doing it because Im passionate about Lambrettas and the scooter subculture I couldn’t give a fuck about making money

@@ColinLennard generally most Lambretta owners/enthusiasts know their way around their engines - you have to to ride the miles we do/did.. and do roadside maintenance… probably the last thing my viewers want is another lesson in how do rebuild an engine… Maybe you should watch the first one in the series and the story might make more sense?… and no I didn’t clean my gloves- I kept them on because again… …a tiny bit of dirty/oil on my sandwich really doesn’t matter🤷🏻♂️ …
