Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s trip to Nigeria could spark a series of international quasi-royal tours for the couple. This is a source of ‘great concern’ argues the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden, citing ‘mutterings in diplomatic circles’ and highlighting the risk the Sussexes have in being manipulated by foreign governments, which would be hugely embarrassing for King Charles.

“Meghan conducted herself magnificently”!! She behaved rudely, ran late, dressed scantily and continuously pressed herself against men in a predominantly Muslim and otherwise conservative country! Not to mention her unbelievable claim that she is 43% Nigerian. In 2015 she claimed to be 40% Maltese and grifted a trip there courtesy of Elle magazine and the Maltese government!

For goodness sake. Megs was totally off the mark. Her outfit choices were appalling and inappropriate for a country whose women cover up. A backless dress for a school visit. She has no clue on etiquette, manners, or customs…..Haz has proven time and again that he can’t be trusted to not reveal or lie about personal sensitive information. the only thing that looked ok was the white suit the yellow dress, with no bra, one backless, she was being hugged by men who had to touch her bare back, black and white one was very low down over her 'breasts'. one or two of them were see through when walking. how is that a good example for young girls and small children. in a conservative respectful and part muslim country. claassy? not a chance.

I shut off the video after Richard Kay reported Meghan was the “star of the show” and “conducted herself magnificently” during the faux royal tour. Get a grip. She conducted herself in an appallingly narcissistic and rude manner, dressing wholly inappropriately for the customs and traditions of her host country. It was not curated but contrived. I found her behavior disgusting!

What planet is Richard Kay inhabiting? I did not see M conducting herself 'magnificently'. Her clothing was excruciatingly inappropriate, she was rude, she was fake, she was pushy, and - worst of all - she made the entire trip all about herself. Her supposed Nigerian ancestry, her 'homecoming', her roles as a wife, mother, feminist role model, etc. True royal work is about shining a light on the causes and people they are visiting, it is never about publicising themselves.

I disagree with Richard Kay that Meghan equitted herself well - she dressed inappropriately - the worst a backless gown to visit a school; she kept a roomful of accomplished women waiting an hour then complimented herself noting she could be a role model for girls in their country; she repeatedly hugged people while skimpily dressed - this in a country where both the Christian and Muslim women dress conservatively....etc. etc.

I agree. MM blanked the 2 schoolgirls who were standing with their teacher who was talking to Harry. One of the girls stepped forward with tray in hand to present gifts to MM. I have been to a garden party at the Palace for the centenary of the National Trust. It was so hot and nowhere to sit except for the grass. We were lucky as there was not a huge number of people there, probably about a 1,000. The food and drinks were amazing. If you get to go, make sure you have eaten as the portions are dainty. It was a great day, and we really enjoyed everything so much and an honour for us all. A few chosen people were chosen to go and have tea with the Queen and King Charles in a cordoned area. We were able to walk around the grounds and sit on a couple of benches placed in beautiful gardens the size of a park. Mobile phones were not as good, and we were not allowed 🚫 to take photographs. It was such a shame because a few pictures would be nice to look back on. The invertation was beautiful in white with gold embellishments. I count myself as being very lucky to have been to one of the famous garden parties.

Contrary to what Richard Eden said, Meghan did not demonstrate glamour in Nigeria, she dressed inappropriately to the event in clothing that was ill-fitting, messy hair, word salad lectures all about Me. If that woman gave a speech about domestic abuse or STD's she would find a way to make it all about her, Harry was simply her +1, Invictus was overshadowed again. I've seen an interview with some Nigerian women who were less than impressed with MM. Can't remember where I saw it exactly but worth a watch. Also the "hospital" Harry visited was a setup by all accounts. No medical equipment, just some men laying around in fresh scrubs on beds. That's worth a watch too... esp the "conversation" H had with one "patient" who had no time for him, to the point H was definitely miffed by the end of it.

There is no way that Meghan looked glamorous. Virtually every outfit was totally inappropriate, showed far too much skin and many of the dresses dragged on the ground looking dishevelled. In addition to that she was extremely rude at times, but especially at the first school visit where she turned her back and dragged Harry away when a school teacher and two pupils were in the middle of talking to her and offering her eats. I have seldom seen such boorish behaviour. You add the dress with no sides, no bra and bare shoulders and it was a study in how not to behave as a Royal. She disrespected the Nigerian people and her hosts. As for Harry on their last outing being pulled along between two Nigerian men who were trying to keep him upright while he staggered around like a drunk or someone who was high as a kite - unbelievable!

I was fortunate to attend a Royal garden party in 2010 on my retirement and at that time it was made quite clear that no phones were allowed to be switched on so no way could you take photographs. It was the most wonderful experience and one of the things that really surprised me was how tiny the then Queen was. As Richard said a real honour and one of the highlights of my life. The photograph we sneakily took on the way out in the inner courtyard still has pride of place.

Meghan kept her American citizenship and passport. She decided to leave and go back to America and took her husband and children with her. We did consider having the police arrest her, put her in the tower and treat her like Charles the first and Anne Boylen, but Harry kept crying, the baby was teething, so we let them leave in peace. ✌️

Harry and Meghan originally went to Canada on a limited special visa for his help in the Invictus games, he could only go to a commonwealth country. Then the pandemic came and the USA were shutting the boarders so they went by private jet to California. They had no visa for America authorised from the UK. There was only Archie born at the time.

Prince Harry was born into royalty so should be able to keep his title of Prince. BUT the title of Duke and Duchess of Sussex was a gift from the Queen on their wedding day and should absolutely be removed by King Charles and the parliament. Actually, the country invited them and granted them entrance. You know the king does not rule the entire planet and specially the United States and especially that Megan is also a United States citizen she has a right to be concerned about the politics in our country because as the United States citizen she is eligible to vote just like every single celebrity who is born in the United States has the right to vote. So the celebrities are actually citizens of the state if they're born in the country or got citizenship and it's pathetic to think they can't dabble in.
