well, I'm neither from France nor from Britain, but I know that's not how it's done. when the event is intended to commemorate someone, it is a protocol with a purpose, because attention is not taken from the fallen to oneself. everything has a meaning. the royals are even strict about this, the attention must be on the event itself, with gestures, attention is taken away from the actual purpose. that's why the royals act "tight and cold" but it has its purpose and it's right.

My daughter, who is on a trial treatment for the particular cancer she has, has just been told that it will continue for two years! Obviously, depending on the Princess' type of cancer, it is quite possible that her treatment wouldn't necessarily be rapid, either. It's quite debilitating, and it has to run its course. The Princess needs to be cut some slack.❤
I have said this from the very beginning when ppl blame Charles and Camilla for what happened to Diana. It’s not unlike arranged marriages that are still happening in India to this very day. The pressure Charles must have felt when he really wasn’t given much of a choice. How could his family have thought this was a good choice knowing that he in his 30’s marrying someone barely 20 was ever going to work? I always said that ppl’s anger should have been more directed at his parents / grandmother for pretty much making him or giving him no choice. I have first hand knowledge. My husband is Indian and his family pretty much disowned him for choosing me over an arranged marriage. I have some empathy for Charles actually because people can’t help loving who they love. I totally have empathy for Diana as well. I just think that people’s anger with Camilla for breaking up their marriage is misplaced and directed at the wrong person/people so I totally agree with what you’re saying about arranged marriage aspect. Also, it’s nice to see that Charle’s and Camilla finally found their way back to each other because it was always her… it was true love from the start💕!
