New reporting shows that some Democrats are worried Vice President Harris is playing it too safe with just over a month left until the election. MSNBC host Michael Steele and Democratic strategist Basil Smikle reassure undecided voters that Harris is doing enough to win despite a much shorter campaign window than usual.

Michael Steele is spot on! The media needs to stop the click bait whining that people "don't know her". He's right, they just feel left out. As a voter, saying you "don't understand who she is" means you haven't taken the time to do so. You can hear and see the debate and any interviews you missed (it's called RU-vid), go to her website to read the "in the weeds" details of her policy positions, follow her on social, etc. There is plenty of ways to connect.

I agree, wholeheartedly, with Michael. And, I would like to add that we should make a cognitive effort to not hold Harris to much higher standards than we hold previous candidates and presidents. As of today --- and you showed the numbers -- has campaigned for 1/5 as long as her contemporary and her predecessors. She is also holding down the second highest, heaviest job in the country during one of the most difficult times. She cannot be everything to everyone for every reason that comes to mind. I believe that if she had been campaigning for a full year, she would have had numerous sit downs, podcasts, interviews, walk-ons, whatevers. But, it is not logistically possible for anyone to do everything that everyone wants. Are you?

Michael Steele = the voice of reason. She's dealing with a hurricane response, continuing an intense rally schedule, and trying to focus on this last stretch toward November 5. She's done a bunch of radio, a couple podcasts, and I expect more interviews over the next 4 weeks, but this is a very short campaign season for her, and there's only so much you can do at once.

We need to pep-talk voters to do some of their own homework, because expecting Kamala to spoon feed them is lazy given her limited campaign duration. She needs to balance hardness with joy, but the media can go hard. Kamala has been putting out way more pilicies than Trump, but media is guilty of perpetuating the myth that she's not. It’s not campaigning that wins elections; it’s governing. Dems could’ve spent a billion in 2016 and I still wouldn’t have voted because I simply didn’t care back then. I am an avid supporter of Former President Trump and will support him to be elected in being elected in 2024. In addition I am thankful for Elon Musk. Elon is one of, if not the smartest man in the world. I see him and President Trump making America great again and joining forces to improve America. Don't underestimate the power of artists like Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish to get out the youth vote. There is no universal reach anymore but thousands of niche audiences. A smart Harris campaign will engage with TikTok and Instagram influencers and many more singers. Also, most youth are not watching TV news programs and reading newspapers.

Thank you Michael! If you totally agree, why do you keep asking why Harris isn't doing more 'interviews?' I do think you use a stronger qualifier for Harris than you use for Trump.
