Spain haven't controlled the ball much in this tournament, they are having their lowest share of possession since the 2008 Euros... which they won handsomely. In fact this change of style has been key to their resurgence, I wonder if people are even watching the games when they say things such as "Spain will control the ball".

Spain have overrun teams many times on the wings with constant pressure, chances and crosses. They created 20 chances against Italy with 9 on target. Well, you can only decide on that once they’ve actually played Spain and if they do happen to win, then you base it off that performance. I think Germany were very unlucky not to have beat in Spain and they definitely should have had a penalty. France were definitely not at their best and mbappe was missing opportunities that he would normally bury.
