Biden has not shown up for a debate either. He wouldn't debate Kennedy, Phillips, or Williamson in the Democrat primaries in the same way Trump wouldn't debate in the Republican primaries. They were both way ahead in the polls and didn't need to debate. Now Biden wants the debates on his terms so he can get the questions ahead of time and the rules in his favor. Biden is hoping the Trump campaign will not agree to the Democrat campaign's debate terms. But Trump has already publicly said "anytime, anyplace."

CNN's townhall with Trump and Caitlan Collins was a DISASTER. With the exception of Briana Keilar, CNN's current anchors are not up to the challenge of moderating a Presidential debate and maintaining order that these debates deserve. Even Chris Wallace was ineffective as moderator in the 2020 debate when he still was at Fox.
