Georgia is still very heavily divided racially, economically and White rural tend to vote Republican. The 1960's is not far behind us and neither is Jim Crow. Look at Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee and now Florida. At least we're competitive, now in places like Georgia. Kemp was an incumbent and White moderate and black coalition in Georgia didn't vote for Abrams, but she did good enough to bring black voters and voters of color to the forefront of democracy in that state and in other states like Texas and North Carolina. There needs to be more convincing that a heavy-set centrist Black woman can be governor in a mostly red state.

My position is we must move to the center, and put distance behind us and the unstable, though magnetic, previous administration. What that came to stand for towards its end meant it would take time to drain people of their energy for it and recognize America could not afford the danger of it. Thank you. The land, the environment is sitting at the table and its holding the winning cards. Your party must help change America and listen to the land, and focus the nation on cleaning and restoring the coastlines, and the waterways where you can, and also Make it in America.
