It was a cheap, cruel shot at someone who couldn’t defend herself. It forced Catherine to have to make a video statement to get people to shut up. It had spread so far and was so bad people were claiming she was dead and had been ‘killed off’ by William. And it didn’t stop the death threats leveled at her children. Once Catherine revealed her diagnosis all the rats started scattering because their bitchy, competitive nastiness was exposed front and centre and there was no defending it. The fake apologies then started to roll in to save their images and businesses as the backlash is and continues to be huge. Their hollow attempts at sincerity aren’t being accepted by the general public for a very good reason - If they were genuine they never would have done it in the first place.
