Dave how did you allow this to happen, the people of Burnley must have felt betrayed,...big payday though I guess,,,,,, but it never happened, I'm struggling with how you allowed this to be filmed as part of your story?......
I watched the Bank of Dave film to then do some research and realise most of the main script was made up,.....the concert at the end which was inspiring never happened, which makes the film a fraud,.......just make up major events like def leopard playing at Burnley stadium to raise money for the bank on Dave it should have been called,......it was 50% made up......greater film but was not true.........bug deceptive concert.........
The majority of films that are based on true stories are not accurate at all. I guess they make the changes to make the film better which it does. But it does also make people believe they know exactly how something happened when the only thing that's accurate is the characters names. At leased this film does say "based on a true(ish) story" at the beginning.
True like most films they took a lot of liberties with the story to make it more entertaining, but the real story was about the bank anyway, and the film served its purpose of introducing the idea of a local community bank to people who would have never heard about it before. I recommend watching the documentary if you want the more truthful version of the story, it's on RU-vid in 3 parts and just as entertaining tbh.
