The sad thing is this school is not the only school that sweeps sexual assault under the rug and encourages the victims not to report their assault. They all just want to save their own asses. They don't want the school name tarnished. That is scary. This is most likely happening in almost every school and we just don't know.
My old high school is one of those. Two of my best friends were SA and they had to tell the school and the school suspended them from competing in their gymnastics and did absolutely nothing to the guy and he was on the basketball team and was allowed to play. Called Davies high school

Wow this is heart-wrenching. I’m considering Liberty for my graduate degree but being a Christian and a survivor of sexual assault makes me think twice about what this university values.
I wanted to vomit when she said she was drugged and raped by multiple people. Like that is so violating they could have given her all types of diseases or heck even a baby if she had gotten pregnant. I hope they burn in hell.
As a Christian, I think this university stinks. But Ephesians 6:12 tells us that :"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." The Lord is exposing those that have been hiding behind christianity and living like the devil behind the scenes. Jesus is cleaning His church and if you do not repent He wjll expose you and make sure you pay the lawful consequences for what you have done. If you repent youu will find forgivess but when you break the law you must go through the consequences.
Twenty women in the lawsuit and dozens more who probably didn't have the means to fight legally. This is disgusting. I believe you. This so called "Christian" school is a disgrace.
What's sad is this happens at all colleges unfortunately. Proud of these brave woman for speaking up for what's right. I pray they all receive justice, healing, peace and support.

No one deserves to be a sexual assault victim. Also No one deserves to get falsely accused of sexual assault. That also happens and no one cares about that.
Our world continues to worsen every day, but good things still happen, too. Thankful when something bad happens, because God will always give us something good to keep us going.

Went to a Christian university and we had to sign something similar. I had a few friends who were s*xually assaulted by the same person and they were afraid to report it since they were drinking and willingly at his apartment against school rules, not to mention the guy was a Christian studies major set to be a pastor. They didn't think any university officials would believe them or that they'd be punished for drinking/being at his apartment (even though he's the one who invited them over and provided the alcohol). They warned every female student they knew not to be alone with that guy, otherwise no one would have ever known. I can't imagine how often this kind of thing happens.
the fact that my brother did this to me when i was 4 and only got beat with a cord from my dad but we had to "talk" before he did it its the fact my dad did not belive me :/
The fact that people let these monsters to roam free and assault more people is just disgusting. Who ever was in charge of the university is one of them and he needs to be put away. With or without evidence.
The state and local police failed these women if they don't investigate. Never talk to the rent cops on campus. Go straight to the state or local police and get it on record with them to force an investigation.

This actually happened to a friend of mine. She wasn’t r###, thank god, but when she reported it to the police and have the guy arrested, the school fired her cause she work as a housing assistant, kick out of her dorm room, and was nearly expelled. I was so angry when they did that to her! She was crying her eyes out all week when the school did that to her.
It's unfortunate that many excessively religious parents will only allow their children to go to a religious university. It's not as if most religions don't have a propensity to cover up sexual abuse.
Because it was against the code for me and her to go party and drinking. Me and her went to that house party months apart and had the same thing happen. I never said anything because it was against the rules for me to be there in the first place. So they knew this and thrived. And it's true, I put myself in that situation by being 18 and going to that party and drinking underage
Before I found out about this I actually wanted to go to liberty university but now…..Just…..UGH! I don’t feel safe going there now and just thinking about it gives me nausea
Heather is legit. The other one, I have no clue. Heather and I months apart went to a house party in downtown lynchburg. The house was rented by some wrestlers on the team. I had no clue at the time. I was 18 and I didn't know Heather. I was handed an open beer by someone I'd never met. I just said thabkyou. I started feeling extremely drowsy and wanted to go home but they told my girlfriend left me. I had no car or ride so the same guy all of a sudden showed up and said they had a room I could stay in, I had no choice because I had no car or license. I felt extremely drowsy by this point. As soon as I laid on the bed it began and multiple men. I fell asleep shortly after it began. I woke up naked and a man I'd never met was laying next to me. I looked at all the trophies on the dresser. Frankie Gyeski they all said. I called to get a ride home and never said a word to anyone other then my husband and now you. Heather in 2015 somehow knew what happened and begged me to help her because it was ruining her life. I declined and explained that ive been living my life as though it didnt happen and i disnt want to be involved. I still have her messages. I figured out who two of the guys were because I looked up the name on the trophies and figured out they were all LU wrestlers. It was really disgusting but I had no business being there.there needs to take accountability that it was against the rules to drink and party. I put myself in that situation by being there at all
People that sexually abuse anyone should be in jail for life, period. And not all drinking is bad. IF they dont fix that University it needs to be shut down along with any other universities that want to cover stuff up like this.
I hope this blows up and the school is forced to rewrite their rules as well as give these women justice they deserve so sick of universities shaming rape and sexual assault victims just because they don't want their images tarnished or money taken out of their greedy pockets. Do better liberty university... Do a hell of a lot better.
Ehh im pretty nuetral on these things, just cause they said it happened doesnt mean it always happened, a onesided story shouldnt be enough to try to criminalize somebody thats the problem with america today, justice is far too emotional, you cant just say somebody did sonething and expect people to just condemn them especially if its two different stories, its completely unfair and its happening more often today than ever before

As someone who's starting their the spring I just want to say this is wrong it is not right! At the same time this can happen at any college! And from people I've heard from that go there says it's the administration the student body and the community is probably the best campus community you could ever have!
