She was right to call out Michael Landon's disgusting shenanigans in her book, no matter how some people would put it.

I always liked him as an actor and am disappointed to hear this information but completely understand and glad that she was able to tell the truth. All we ever heard was that he liked to make jokes and goof around, etc. No one wanted to tell / hear the real story.

Whenever you hear “hes/shes complicated or its a complicated relationship”….typically just means one thing. Its usually not that complicated, just an A-hole of a person you have to put up with

I remember all the kids on the show saying Michael Landon was a great man, a father figure to them, all positive things about him. So this was all shocking news to hear about him.🤔

I won't slam her for telling the truth of the situation..........I was a young woman in that era & we were sent messages by men every day that our only worth was that of a sexual nature. Playboy magazine was at it's height & so was sexual harassment but like she said we had no term for it ......it was just a given that we tolerate it.❤️☮️🙏

Why does this surprise anyone. People in power will do what ever they want because their yes people allow it to happen. No matter what their gender is.

My boss’s dad met him once and he was shook when Michael was a total jerk.

He was horrible! OMG and he never gave her a raise while he raked in the millions. All that drinking caught up with him!

That’s why people aren’t always what they appeared to be.

Michael Landon and Karen Grassle clashed quite often, this is not new information. She didn't want to lose her job, she had no power. His telling dirty jokes is not new information either.

Man, I really loved his character. But she is brave for finally telling her story

It's okay that she spoke up against the dude who was dead 30 years ago.

I believe every word she is saying about him, over the years since his death, there have been other leaks coming out about him; Sexist Jokes that he said in between takes to get other actors off their game o purpose because Michael Landon thought it was funny. Walking around with a sock or fruit in his pants to simulate an aroused organ. He thought that too was funny even as the sight of him made people uncomfortable. I even heard that he was a prejudice man in real life who didn't necessary care for any Black person including the ones hired for the show. I was told he was very rude, mean , unfair and prejudice towards black actors on set. I am a person of color and found this most hard to accept but being from a Show biz connected family, I know it is fact. I still love this show though and I'm saddened he was not a really pleasant or likeable person on the set.

Sounds like to a lot of people say she can’t speak up because the guys dead? What if she’s been horrified to keep it in all this time (which considering this happened a while ago it’s extremely likely) until now.

When he died, she went on tv and told everyone what a beautiful, kind and generous man he was. Now she has a book to sell and needs dirt to dish. Very disappointing.

Remember the episode where a girl is raped by a guy in a mime mask and ends up not only pregnant but killed off by the end of the episode?

She looks great. She's definitely taken care of herself. As far as Michael, he's been gone for so long & we all know there's always 3 sides to a story...both parties & the truth. He obviously can't defend himself. Regardless, I'll always be a fan of both.

I remember reading in Allison Argrim (Nellie Olson)’s book about how he was a heavy drinker and drank whiskey and coffee all day long on the set so really this doesn’t surprise me.

Next we'll find out that Laura and Nellie were lovers .

Whenever I hear people wishing to go back to "the good old days," I think to myself, "they don't realize those days weren't good for everybody." There is a lot about "the good old days," that I'm glad doesn't exist now, and that I'm glad a spotlight is being put on them to wipe it out.

Why didn't she come out with this before he died? I'm not saying she's lying but it's hard to get the other side of the story when the one being accused is dead.

Well, apparently he was a disrespectful alcoholic. When you do those harrasment things, they can stay for many years in the minds of the people you hurt, and then be exposed many years later. They actually stay in the minds of the people you hurt for all of their lives.

She made a lot of money on that show & if she truly hated it, could have left. EVERY job has a down side. Hearing dirty jokes is the least of people's problems. Shame on you. He WAS loved by so many fans.

This disturbs me greatly. I loved the show as an example of family and friend togetherness. To hear about this behavior and harrasement ruins the show for me.

Come on Michael Landon is no angel! He left his second wife for younger women! His son made a TV movie about his infidelity!

She aged very well. I say he can’t defend himself. So it’s been many many years ago. Why throw mud now? I’m not saying it didn’t happened but it was ages ago that it was done and he’s no longer alive to do it happened or not. 🤷🏽‍♀️

He was never a good guy. Did you see the movie about him from back in the 80's. He cheated on his wife and felt she should understand and be happy for him when he left her for his last wife.

It takes alot of courage to tell the truth of one's experiences on a TV or Movie, and I applaud her because it must have been hard for her to make a decision on when to tell the world of what was happening on that TV show in that time of 1970s, in today's time.

I thought Inside Edition had been moving away from tabloid type coverage over the last couple years. Looks like I was waaaaaaay off!

My dad was friends with Mr Landon and said he was very generous and kind.

I don't blame Karen Grassle at all for coming out with the truth. We need as much of the truth as possible these days, because we need to move forward more than we need to hold onto our innocence. I've reached the age when I'm not surprised anyways, especially after reading how hard Landon was on Melissa Gilbert for screwing up her lines just once. It's ironic that he was a perfectionist that way - he was hardly perfect himself. Happily, none of it changes my love for the show, it still lives within me as a great thing, just as the kid that eagerly watched it every week still lives within me.

I just watched a bunch of interviews of you when the series came out and you didn't say anything like that you were so happy about the success!!! Don't be a part of this culture.

I listened to the audiobook, which Karen Grassle recorded herself beautifully. It is very well written and never got boring, but when she got to the part with Little House, it really sounded like Landon became abusive towards her, also mentally, he literally gaslighted her. Maybe it's no coincidence that in her movie "Battered", one of the abusers is called Mike. In any case, good for her that she tells people about it.

Sad she had to go there after he is gone. Doesn't help a thing!

Hi that is so sad to say that about him he is gone and not here to defend himself he gave her a job wow that's the thanks he gets maybe he had his moments i am sure she does too all these years and now she saids something just like so many others do oh well there's a certain person that knows the truth just like she don't care what she saids i don't care either Michael Landon was a good soul might of had his moments but that does not mean he was a bad person may peace be with all even you Karen 🙏

I used to speak to Karen on the phone when I was raising money many years ago. Always very friendly and generous, enjoyed talking with her. You can tell a lot about someone with how they treat the people they don’t have to be nice to. She didn’t have to be nice to me but she was.

All I can say. He's not here to defend himself. Know the evil condems the good. I believe Michael Landon was a good man

Funny how people will wait until after someone is dead and gone to bash them in a tell all book. I mean the man isn't here to defend himself.

If he was an alcoholic or drank a lot like she said then his behavior would be erratic! Not saying this to excuse his bad behavior but it definitely gives us more insight of why he would act out in ways that were inappropriate! I think Michael Landon was truly an amazing actor and one of the sweetest men I ever got to meet when I was a child I got to go to the set of little house on the prairie when I was 12 and I will never forget meeting him and how sweet and caring and professional he was ❤ He was my idol even at the young age of 12 😘 I will forever remember him and how sweet he truly was !

What she said about his jokes may be dirty, but it isn't harassment. Everyone knows he wasn't perfect and had problems. I don't think it is every right though to slander someone after they're dead. Especially if you never said anything while they were alive.
