Read one of her books years ago but always liked this lady. She is very wealthy & hard worker, but suffered like many others. Maria Shriver keeps moving on...like the rest of the smart strong women of the world
I've never understood why even A liste women are betrayed by men like any other chicks, no matter beauty money and fame, when it comes to love we are all on the same boat 😖😱🥺
@@caroltapia1343 You women are always attractive, you are a beautiful flowers, butterflies and other beautiful insects are always attracted to flowers 🌺🌹..
I lost a 25 year marriage. I was over 60. I was broken for three years. I decided I didn’t want to live my life alone. I found the most wonderful man at 65. Keep your heart open. You are a great woman. At 75 I am happier than I have ever been. K
Thank you for touching my heart, I have an Irish mother who has made me feel invisible. I’m putting your words Marie on my vision board. You have helped this 63 yr old woman❤
My mom and dad were very encouraging, but for some reason I sabotaged my potential for being greater. Something happened today that was a pivotal learning experience, and I'm 59! I believe God sent this video to me because he knows I needed this right now. 🙏 ♥️
To a point early in the chat. We don't give ourselves enough credit for the very life changing events of our lives, that we survived and we are not bitter, but better and we continue to examine the difficult hurdles that we must all navigate in this challenging life we live.
how are you my dear friend.I am very happy to be your friend , are you there now.? That's Dr.Richard Harris, your friend on RU-vid How long have you been here on RU-vid?
A refueling station. I broke down when Maria said this. I am 43 and my parents divorced when I was 15 and I have never felt like I had a solid, permanent home or place to always come home to. Somewhere with people I can depend on that is non-judgemental and unconditional. I still yearn for this safe place. I have been diagnosed with CPTSD from consistent emotional neglect throughout childhood. I am trying to create a safe space at home for myself that centers on self-care and acceptance. A safe childhood sets you up for the rest of your life - parents please always be there for your kiddos...not just food, shelter, clothing, vacations, good schooling etc., but allowing them to be who they are and listening and validating them.

I have been having difficulties with my marriage for sometimes now but with the help of this Sorceress, I have been able to put my marriage back together.
I love both of you!! Maria, you are so very full of wisdom; Hoda, you are a positive light in the world. ❤❤ Thanks for sharing your life's learnings with all of us!
Wow if you two are ever looking for another friend I’m available!!! I’ve loved and respected you both for so many years! I love the wisdom that you share with the rest of us!
I enjoyed that coach’s message. She’s encouraging strength and perseverance in a wold that increasingly promotes emotional and mental weakness, “like it’s ok to not be ok”, how about “you will get though this! You are strong! You are capable!”
If Maria should ever see this: I took a class on how to teach ESL right after I retired. Was paired with a Hispanic lady I soon came to cherish. Our Christmas gifts to one another (probably not allowed in the program: who cares…..) were…… She gave me a rose scented rosary and I gave her “I’ve Been Thinking” by Maria Shriver, in Spanish. I wanted her to know Maria without any struggling. Yeah, we both had tears.
Really surprised and amazed that authenticity was on display in this conversation. I changed my mind about Maria. WOW! I really liked her after this interview.
Thank God for Maria's healing journey as it has the power to uplift so many of us. The wisdom that she has gained from all of the grief and loss that she has experienced has been transformed into an incredible power that fuels her resilience that is truly a testament for us all. I love you Maria.

Understanding the generational communication styles and how it effects us that Maria addresses really gave me “permission” to learn. Thanks ladies for a new perspective! Love the Sunday Paper too!
Thanks for sharing this interview. I think it be hard to growing up as a Kennedy. Two uncle assassinated. A big family, mostly involved in social problems.
What a great interview. Clearly Maria has done the deep thoughtful work of looking inside. I love the simple utter honesty of her sharing. And as a side benefit of knowing yourself and honouring yourself, (which clearly Maria does,) she looks radiantly peaceful and beautiful. Anyone would be blessed to have Hoda and Maria as a friend.
Hi there Hoda; I just want thank you verry much for this interview with Maria Shiver. It really hit home with me I've been dealing with a lot stuff from my life and taking care of others and never taking care of me. I have alot of trama in my life. I am trying to find out "who I am". I am still working on my self trying to let go of that is still very difficult for me to do. I'm so glad you have a very decent human being. She is really wise and it seems that is still working on her self...Thank you so much.
I do love Maria's insights. And I"m struck by her saying she was 'invisible' when standing next to Arnold or maybe her mother (she didn't say). I have been in a room with her a couple of times, with hundreds of people, I have to add, and I could never catch her eye. She was shielding herself I think, against being ignored. It was a bummer because I really wanted to meet her mom, and I've wanted to meet her, Maria, since she was a young reporter.
You know the Universe, the Divine always always always sends me the messages I desperately need and boy I needed this. Thank you Maria Shriver. I'm buying her book.
An entertaining and informative and surprisingly refreshing interview. The lady who held the interview showed respect and gratefully for the viewers, let Maria speak and shine. I found what was talked about fascinating.
After listening to this interview, the impression I’m getting of Maria as a person is that she is kind, authentic, intelligent, deep, and a good human being. She is always working on herself. She is the kind of woman I would love to have as a friend.

This was such an eye opener. I felt you were in my head, it is everything I'm going thru right this minute. I am going to give myself credit for the things I've done and look at life differently. Ty
I feel like they both were sensitive and were able to express my very thoughts. I mean that in the spirit of their efforts which seem to sincere and thoughtful.🙂💞
Another point what a great role model for American families she is. Once one turn 18 they leave the nest and go on with their lives. I have been doing research and watching the news many women particularly in other countries when they get married they are not able to return to their parental home after a divorce because they disgraced parent’s honor. In order for the parents to keep their name they reject their daughters. Many of these women commit suicide by jumping off from high level buildings or use other source of means to end their lives. I hope someone can start an education abroad to teach these parents that they need to be there for their daughters no matter what. I love how Maria stated her doors are open for love and nourishment that’s the type of parents I have. God bless these parents who’s hearts are like limitless ocean ❤️❤️❤️🌹
Hoda you are a great interviewer, you give people time to really respond. I enjoyed hearing Maria Shriver, she always teaches me something and I love the poke conversation.
My maternal Grand mother, HER grandmother was Mary Jane Kennedy and she married a Clancy. My maternal Grandmother is directly descended from the Kennedy’s.
@@lisas2538 I think so too. I’ve wanted to learn more about my Great Grandmother but have not been able to find much information yet. I’m still looking though.
I found her “invisible” comment fascinating. Mainly because I first saw Maria when I was in high school on the news. I had no idea who she was related to or connections. I only saw this gorgeous intelligent lady. I started watching CBS morning news because of her. I’m now in my 50’s and I still feel like that high school kid. Trust me when she was on camera she got my attention. Not Arnold…
We can do hard things is from Glennon Doyle, and Brené Brown. It is everybody’s responsibility to learn who they are, and do better in life for themselves and others. Too many are stuck in the walls of how they were conditioned and shaped in their past as children but when you’re an adult, it’s a whole different ballgame so people either check out or they go in word and figure it out. that is called enlightenment. It’s a higher level of consciousness that the world should move to with living mindfully and not mindlessly. My two cents. I’ve done all the work. When you conflict that you are completely at peace, no matter what gets thrown your way.
I don’t think we need to allow people to poke us. It only brings worse in someone when they keep getting triggered and I don’t find healing in that. I have seen mean spirited people who on purpose will push your buttons to the point where they can ruin your day momentarily. I have dealt with such people by answering with kindness but to some extent I learned that kindness was not enough and such behavior continued until one day I put them in their places and that was the end of their nasty attitude. They became softer more gentle in their approach.
Maria speaks more normal now, she used to be so over the top if you look at old interviews. I think Arnold would have liked the person she is today. I'm sure she'll have a good life she doesn't have to worry about money like a lot of people, she's still an attractive woman she could meet someone. Have a great day everyone.
Maria is a low-key feminist. I mean she isn't loud about it, its very quiet and subtle but I think a lot of women and people look to her and her life, everything that has happen to her for support. Maria, and Belinda Gates (Gates has the same low key feminist vibes, but many women look to her as well especially after her Divorce). I think its a warning to all women that deep down inside women can't always trust men. I mean look how these men did their women. I hate Arnold for what he did and he low-key got away with. cheating but she ends up without a loving husband who step outside his marriage. I feel for her as a women and this is why she is an Icon for many years now.
Maria is a will women , who was knock down but she got up, and choose to live her life, and say don't try that again. I am real and I learned how to fight back not in anger but love. God's Love made me and I am willing to keep living , from the inside out. Not fony outer appearances. She loves herself in a good way and her children with strength. Strong women honest lovely. Injoy age . I tell my kids every Winkle closer to Our Lord. My face tells a story ! Ask me I'll tell you. 😊

Lol - I was a little skeptical at first. I got a pen and paper ready to listen to this a second time. No excuse for when people abuse you. You can try to gloss things over by calling them your "teacher". That may help to cope to some extent, but does not excuse abuse. Interesting remark about her "fight" as a young journalist. What are you fighting? It's true we can have unresolved trauma or emotional stuff that can turn into a struggle of sorts. However, at that time when women were only beginning to hammer the glass ceiling, it was a fight. To a great degree still is. To wit: Roe V. Wade. What about human trafficking? What about the struggle it takes for women to survive something so egregious as that? Women's lives are completely precluded to line somebody else's pockets with some momentary gold. What kind of "permission" do they have to be themselves? Is it worth a fight to stay out of it? You bet it is. Very true - agree whatever we bury will come out. We have to learn to resolve our trauma, whatever it may be. Does that mean it's ok for others to traumatize us so we can "learn" how to handle it? Absolutely not. Nor is it ok for us to traumatize others. This kind of behavior will get none of us anywhere. Friendship does take work. Actions speak louder than words. Someone can come up to you and say they are your friend, but if they're ripping you off every time you turn around, always on the take, that's not much of a friend. "Aging" is a relative term. Much easier to go through if you are in good health. Some of the best advice I ever got - take things one day at a time. Respectfully, after all this talk about seeing yourself, my friendly prescription is to get out of yourself by helping others. I do not mean financially, which I'm sure she has contributed to, but physically. How much has she actually done working with people in the proverbial trenches? Not only handing out the lunch sacks but helping to pack the lunches? What about literally helping to grow food in a community garden? That could grow into a good story to share with everyone. It could be anything, not just food. Used that as an example. Very good interview and discussion. Thank you for sharing.
I got so sick I've coming across these interviews with these celebrities and famous people and they're giving all this wonderful life advice you know what why don't you people interview just average everyday people out there because there's a lot of lot of smart intelligent bright kind average people more than you're ever going to find and celebrities and and in famous people the wise up and start up a new show that interviewed average average average average every day people.
How about talking about face/ body surgery!? And wanted to look good!? One thing that Hoda Kotb does not get....is not all mental but if being lucky to in front of the cameras!! People appreciate those that want to look good..pass it on .🙄🤔🥴🤦

i like the fact son Arnold had with the hispanic maid looks just like him and has alot of his genetics yet with Maria who is all european non of his offspring took her genetics lol
That Kennedy gene is very strong. Take a look back at their history. Even those third & fourth generation Cousins, regardless of who they married, that strong Kennedy gene was unmistakable. As beautiful as Jacqueline Kennedy was, both children have an overpowering Kennedy look.
You guys must be joking. This is not Maria Shriver‘s wisdom to go inward. With the likes of Gary Zukav, Eckhart, Tolle, and others all of what she’s saying has been around for years, so I’m not impressed Hoda how you are portraying this you should do your homework. People with wealth seem to want to chronically reinvent themselves all to make profit for themselves. that’s a known fact. So don’t think the public can’t see that because we can Maria’s hair is pretty and very similar to HRH Catherine, Princess of Wales
